We bought our camping trailer from here, Jerry was our salesman he did an excellent job on showing us only what we were looking for. He also worked with Jamie on getting the price for our trade in,
Which really worked for our budget. We worked with Jason in finance and he found a company that gave us a good percentage rate, also gave us some insight on how to get refunds from our previous trailer dealer thank you so much Jason on helping us out.
Last but not least, when picking up our trailer Scott did a wonderful job on showing us how everything worked also we were able to make sure it all worked, we were so impressed on how thorough he was. I would highly recommend this company! Thank you General Rv Longmont for making our dreams come true. Also thanks to our wonderful friends Nina & George for recommending us to go here..

I bought a used trailer from them. After trying twice to work with Camping World and feeling like we were being scammed, it was a breath of fresh air working with General RV. I had the trailer inspected independently and GRV worked with the inspector without problem. They were very good about fixing some of the things that came up during the inspection. Not a 5 star review because they are a victim of their own success, they have been growing and hiring and are still tuning some of their internal processes. Communication broke down several times and it was frustrating trying to find someone that could answer. My advice to them would be a have customer advocate through the entire process, maybe the sales person, that communicates everything going on until the delivery and makes sure the customer is in the loop. If they get this right, they will definitely be worthy of that fifth star!

I am writing this revue to tell you about my experience with General RV in Longmont CO.
I purchased a 5h wheel from them, loaded it up and headed home. When I got home, I noticed that one of the outside refrigerator covers had blow off. I called the parts department to get a replacement cover. I suggested that they pay for the part because they should have had it off due to their inspection process. Erik, the parts man, said that he did not have that authority and would need a credit card to proceed. I give him one to get the part coming. He said he would do what he could for.me.
A couple days later, I received a call from Dax, the parts manager, and he said they would cover the part at their expense. I felt that that was how it should have played out and I appreciate them stepping up and doing the right thing.
The day after I purchased the RV, we left town on vacation for 8 days. We got home and was doing a thorough cleaning to make it ours. At that time, we noticed one of the slides was leaning out and sagging. This was mentioned during the walk through before I took possession. Evidently , it got overlooked while touching up a couple of minor details were being attended to.
I called and made an appointment to have it adjusted the following Monday. My appointment was with Rich Stokes on Tuesday. He was very professional. I explained my problem and the situation . He stated that he would check with Sales to determine who would be responsible for the repair cost. He went to bat for me.
They spent 5 hours adjusting the slide and did not charge me $1. Once again, they did what was the right thing to do.
All in all, the whole experience was a good one from the receptionist to the Salesman to the Finance Mgr to the Money guy to the Walk through lady to the Parts department and the Service department !
I owned a Used Car Lot for 20 years and they treated me as I treated my customers. Fair!
General RV stepped up in every aspect that I felt they should have. The whole experience was a good one and that is not all that common now days.
If you are looking for an RV, give them an opportunity to work for you.
Thanks again.

We are from Montana and found a Montana high country on the Longmont website we liked. I’m not going to lie I was bummed it was at a dealership. We first talked to Mikey he got us the price we wanted. We drove down looked at it and put a deposit on it. Got a hitch put in our truck and went back to pick it up. The transaction was great from Mikey in sales to Kevin in Finance from the parts guy to the technician. All our questions were answered and everything was taken care of that needed done. I would buy from them again and it was a 5 star transaction.

We purchased a Class B Winnebago Travato from General RV (out-of-state from California) after only one inspection trip. The sales team was friendly and helpful during the initial process, which made us feel confident about the purchase.
Unfortunately, the experience went downhill quickly with multiple unfulfilled promises and poor handling at pickup:
• They promised indoor storage over the holidays while we arranged transport, but winterized the unit and left it outside in the weather for two weeks.
• They discarded the water filter during winterization and assured us a replacement would be sent—it never arrived, despite follow-up attempts.
• When I personally flew out to pick up the vehicle, none of the repair items noted during our inspection had been addressed. I waited over three hours while a technician finally completed them.
• While inspecting the roof myself, I found loose parts lying on top—concerning for a new unit.
• As I moved the Travato out of the work bay and parked it at the front door to load up, the lady assisting me came out, yelled at me, slammed the door in my face, and sarcastically told me to “have a good trip.” I’m still not sure why she assumed I’d left without saying goodbye—it was very strange and unprofessional.
We’ve tried calling the salesperson multiple times with no returned calls. I would suggest to do your due diligence before purchasing.”
This series of issues—broken promises, lack of follow-through, delays at pickup, and rude behavior—has completely soured what should have been an exciting new RV ownership experience. If you’re considering General RV, insist on everything in writing, verify repairs before final pickup, and be prepared for potential post-sale radio silence. Buyer beware—our experience aligns with many similar complaints about their service after the sale.
