We first brought my husbands 'new' (used!) Volvo XC60 into Nick's a year or 2 ago for a transmission flush. Fast forward to December of 2025 - we brought my husbands car in for an oil change at a local shop close to home where we were told the transmission fluid was 'leaking'. I called and made an appointment and we took it back today. After having the car for a few hours I received a phone call saying that it was in fact NOT leaking and that there were no major issues with the car. There was a short list of a few things we 'could' do but nothing pressing. The techs here arent paid on commission so no need to lie to customers about work that needs to be done when it isnt urgent. This shop is honest and pricing is fair considering the high ownership cost of Volvos. We weren't charged for this visit which I greatly appreciated - my husband was laid off of work 15 months ago and is still out of work. We very highly recommend this shop to ANYONE needing work done on their Volvo's!

On a last second whim between Christmas and New Year's, my wife and I drove 7 hours to look at a Volvo to buy in the Denver area. I reached out to Nick to do a pre-purchase inspection. He fit me in his schedule and did me right. Spent a lot of time going over maintenance that I would need to do on the vehicle and they took off the lower body panels to look for any leaks on the turbo etc. The car was clean. He went over past engine codes that were no longer there. Living out of state, the shop wasn't going to see more business from us, but spent good time making sure we were taken care of. I discussed items that would be major repairs (supercharger issues on the T8) with Nick and if getting an extended warranty was worth it (probably not). Great experience. Good shop dogs too. Would definitely patronize if I was in the Denver area.

Extremely satisfied with my recent vist with Nick, went in to get my driveshaft replaced /oil change and been that it was an expensive part to replace I was extremely satisfied on the outcome. Nick diagnosed my car and gave me a price that was honest and didnt change at the end. He even offer his doner car for me to use while my car was getting repaired which save me money on rental or Uber rides, that is to me was the extra touch of true customer service and care. Will definitely be going to Nick for my every Volvo repairs in the future. And highly recommend it

I’ve used Nick for almost 20 years on my Volvo and other cars. He is honest and does what is necessary and does not “invent issues”. I’ve referred numerous friends and they have had similar experiences.

I’ve been a loyal customer for 15 years. Nick and his team have helped me with everything from regular service intervals and oil changes to solving complex problems with my vehicles. They always shoot you straight, and you never have to worry about getting sold something you do not need.
Great service, great people.
The salesman at the dealership where I purchased my new car said that if I have you work on my car, it will void my warranty. Is this true?
False! Consumers are entitled to have their cars serviced wherever they choose. Always read your warranty to understand what constitutes a covered service item. As long as detailed records are kept (as we do here for all of our customers) and the service intervals are met with Genuine parts your warranty will never be void.
How often should I have my car serviced?
It varies from model to model, but as a general rule you should change your oil every 5 thousand miles and perform the annual recommended factory scheduled maintenance.
Can you tell me what is wrong with my car over the phone?
In most cases we cannot accurately diagnose your vehicle over the phone. Your Volvo® is an extremely complex piece of machinery that requires hands on testing and inspection.
What is your policy on customer supplied parts?
We prefer not to install parts that a customer brings to our facility. There are several reasons for this. First, how does the customer know what part to supply? Who diagnosed what is wrong with the vehicle? Is the part the correct application ie correct chassis number or engine number? Many parts are different based on whether the car has ABS brakes etc. Is the part supplied up to our quality standards? We pride ourselves on quality work and that includes quality parts. In our opinion, bring your own parts is the same as taking your own food to a restaurant.
Will having my car serviced at Nick's Auto Shop void my vehicle warranty?
No, having your car serviced at Nick's Auto Shop will not void your warranty as long as service intervals are met with genuine parts and detailed records are kept.
