- RSRobert Segal2 days ago2.0We chose Safelite at the recommendation of our State Farm agent to have our cracked windshield replaced and recalibrated. Safelite assured us they could do the entire job. After two delays and missed appointments occasioned by their inability to procure the replacement windshield, we took the car in, and although they were able to replace the windshield, they were unable to recalibrate the windshield with the manufacturer’s software. They told us we had to go to the manufacturer’s dealership to get the calibration, and that the dealer would certainly charge us for doing so. This was very disappointing. What made it worse is that Safelite was unapologetic and did not do anything to attempt to rectify the situation or offer to make us whole for the extra money, not to mention the additional time and annoyance, we had to spend at the dealer to have the windshield recalibrated, something Safelite told us they would do and simply didn’t deliver. They also didn’t preserve and provide the Express Toll sticker that was on the windshield, something which we thought would be a matter of routine given windshield replacement is their business.

They took my card the moment I walked in and waited until 3.5 hours later to tell me it declined so I had to catch a bus to the bank and come back. On top of this, my front seats were FILLED with broken glass to the point where my girlfriend sliced her hand open reaching for her phone. There is a glob of epoxy smack dab in the middle of my brand new windshield from poor quality installation. ON TOP OF ALL THIS, THE TECHNICIAN LEFT HIS $1200 WINDSHIELD PULLER IN MY CAR and asked me to bring it to him on my own time. Now it's been a full week, I've been back 3 times to return his tool and he hasn't been there once. This location has terrible customer service, worse actual service and a team of incompetent employees.
