Today I went to go and use it, and the manager sarah, and another employee told me and my bf that “they haven’t been able to take digital ID since may of 2024”. When i asked why Sarah just points to a piece of paper stating they aren’t allowed to take it due to “state regulations”. Mind you I have been buying alcohol there since October 2025. Everywhere else in keenesburg is able to take the digital ID, regulated by the state of colorado. Even the liquor store.

After complaining, I faced illegal retaliation, including termination. I was pressured into signing an unnecessary trespass notice by Maverik and local authorities, which I did not sign. I also passed an under fit-for-duty test, yet they attempted to use it as another reason to fire me. Until this day I have not been paid accurately or on time. Additionally, my previous review describing these issues was deleted from Google, which shows a pattern of trying to silence employees speaking out. Beyond wage and employment issues, I noticed serious workplace safety concerns: the kitchen allows flies to sit on food, staff do not wash their hands properly when switching gloves, and customers are sometimes dismissed when questioning gas pricing or the NITRO card. Employees and customers deserve to be treated fairly and safely. Maverik needs to resolve these issues immediately—this behavior is unacceptable.
