I have a rental car referral through my insurance to enterprise, and I’ve used them before. But now I’m irritated. I have been arguing with them about their insurance. They say it’s “Optional”. But if you don’t get their insurance, and anything happens to their rental while in your care. You have to pay them “loss of use” which is about $100 a day. (Rentals are only 50-90 a day) So they are making money off that. All state insurance will cover my rental if it gets damaged, but they will not cover the loss of use fee. So unless you pay an additional $20-25 a day for their private insurance. You will essentially be signing a blank check with them. Now, over a month later, their manager emails me to follow up. I responded that I’m upset that they do their customers like that. So he calls me. He tells me that it’s optional coverage and I can certainly take the liability if I so choose. I don’t have to pay the Daily fee. I tried repeatedly to tell him I think it’s wrong to require such a price, and or to have an individual assume such a responsibility. He replied with “as long as you aren’t at fault, and you get the other persons insurance, it will be ok” There is no care from Mr. Kowalski. No regard for the well being of the customer. As a whole, I will never use Enterprise Rent-A-Car again, there is too many other good options. You’ve lost a customer.
- DRDale RichardsNov 17, 20251.0Terrible experience at this location. The first car they gave me had extremely warped brake pads. I then took the car back to swap out. The replacement cars engine overheated on me. When I brought that one back to get swapped out again, they brought me the first car with warped rotors. (No attention to the safety of the vehicles they are giving there customers.) after trying to get an upgrade to car that works they weren’t willing to work with me and instead made me drive to another location 30 minutes away.
