- JSJosh ShelleyJun 7, 20251.0Terrible customer service at both pickup and drop off. Both Home Depot employees were extremely rude and unhelpful. The morning employee had the worst attitude. I couldn’t tell if he just hated me, if he hated his job, or if he just hated his life. He did not greet me, he did not explain any part of the rental process with me, he was rude when I asked questions and he had a terrible nasty attitude the entire time. I asked about my rental moving pads and he pointed to a stack high up on a rack (that I couldn’t really reach) and said “they they are”. Only after seeing my struggle to get them (I have a shoulder injury) did he help me. Even then he seemed pissed that he had to help. When I left I thought surely the return process would go smoother. Wrong. The employee at the counter when I returned the truck was nearly as bad. He was unprofessional, rude, and condescending. My bill was wrong and he refused to help me. He told me to call Penske 1-800 number. I want to be clear that these are not Penske employees. These are Home Depot employees. I have rented from Penske many times in the past at their actual store and always had a 10/10 experience. I will never again come to this Home Depot…. The rent a truck or to shop at their store. I am floored at the terrible service I received there. Beware. Do not rent from this location.
