Please read this! I normally never review, but my two recent visits to this Safelite location are beyond bad! Consider going elsewhere!
1. I needed to get my windshield replaced in my 2022 Defender.
2. While sitting in the waiting area, I could hear the Tech who was working on my car throwing stuff around and cussing. This happened 3-4 times. I just thought the guy was having a bad day, but thought it was unprofessional since the door to the garage was open and he knew I was sitting there. Not a huge deal, but worth mentioning.
2. After waiting 3 hours, because I live 45 minutes away, I got into my car and it was a complete mess. No attempt to clean up had been made.
3. While sitting there processing the mess, I noticed chunks of foam missing from a piece of trim that sits at the bottom of my windshield between the windshield and the back of the dash.
4. I went to look outside my car and noticed heavy scratches on both the lower left and right sides of the windshield on a piece of trim.
5. I went inside to tell the Manager who said she would get her Tech who worked on the car. The Tech came outside to look and then told me "sometimes their tools when removing the windshield can damage things like the foam and that was normal." I showed him the scratches and he said he would get the Manager. Not sure why she wouldn't have come out there from the beginning knowing something was wrong.
6. The Manager said she would have the foam replaced and would order a new piece of plastic trim. While not happy at what had happened, I was at least satisfied it was going to get fixed.
Fast forward 4 weeks later...
I drove 45 minutes to wait a little over 3 hours again. This time at least my car has been cleaned, but when I looked at the piece of plastic trim that was replaced on the outside of my car, I could see a dozen or so areas where the black paint had never touched the white plastic. The new piece of trim looked worse than the scratched one they just replaced. I went back inside to ask for my old piece of trim which I was just going to put back on myself so I wouldn't need anything else from Safelite ever again.
Then while driving home home, I tried to clean my windshield only to have my wipers cross like the letter X. I had to pull over immediately to move them back into place. Had it started raining on the ay home and my wipers had done this, I could have potentially gotten into a serious accident. The Tech had forgotten to put the bolts and the bolt covers back on the wiper arms. This was supposed to be their Lead Tech because of what happened during my first visit. Today its raining all day and also its supposed to tomorrow, so I can't drive my car since the wipers don't work.
And wait, unfortunately it gets better... I just went outside to grab something out of my car and the windshield is leaking on one side.
You literally can't make this up! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this location!
