Came in last night for PSF, realized today I accidentally bought the wrong one. I called ahead and gave them my vin to make sure they had the right one in stock. Girl on the phone was nice and said she would hold the bottle behind the counter for me. When I got to the store, I was greeted by who I can only assume was the manager (middle aged woman, dark hair), and I told her I had called earlier about the PSF and that their should be one behind the counter for me, and I would need to exchange that one for the one I bought last night. Apparently their wasn't one held for me, which in itself isn't a big deal, I could easily walk to the shelf and get one, but the younger girl at the register next to her was obviously the one I had spoken to earlier but she said she had no idea what I was talking about and the older woman said, "Well there isnt one back here." Like I had inconvenienced them somehow. So she asks for my make, model and year so she can look up what type I needed. The car I drive is a pain and doesn't take everyday fluids. So I said, "Can I give you the vin number?" Apparently, that was no longer an option, so she put in the make, model and year. The results brought up the same PSF I had bought last night. She told me that I already had the one I needed. I said no I needed a specific one by what my manual says and the results for the vin they put in on the phone not even 45 minutes ago. So she googles it and google AI says it needs to be dexon transmission fluid (it doesn't 🙄). So finally we go to the shelf with the PSF and I see the one I need and say I'll just exchange it for this one. The point of this long drawn out story is there should probably be better communication between employees and a refresher on customer service. I'm not sure why they would tell me one thing (the correct thing) on the phone but then something completely different when I got to the store. With the interaction and the attitude I received, I was made to feel like I was annoying them or I was stupid for being a customer. That's not how you keep returning business and I will probably just go to O'Reilys or Advanced next time and save myself the headache.

Had to share. I've been to this store often, usually an acceptable experience. I need a battery today. I called ahead and asked if they had someone available to install it (they usually do, but just checking before a drive a car over with a dead battery). They did. I jumped the car and drove over (3 miles at most). I walked in and asked the lady at the register if I could purchase and have someone install a battery. She said no. I explained I had spoken to someone on the phone who said otherwise. She grabbed another lady, the manager, who said yes, and proceeded to let me choose a battery. She looked and said "this one will work". She ran to get someone to pull one and I noticed several cheaper if she just scrolled down the page which had searched for my make and model. Oh well, not that much cheaper. I paid and the POS system would not accept my credit card. Tap, no. Insert, no. Slide, still no. A few tries. We moved to another register. The same. I had used this card just hours before. Finally on the final register it went through. We went outside to drop it in. (Oh I also had to buy a kit with jelly and felt pads for like $10, not a bad idea really). We kind of double team it to remove the old battery (she didn't know where the clamp was) and at that point she noticed the battery was the wrong size. Either the computer was wrong, or the guy pulled the wrong one. So back inside. The next one was actually cheaper by $5 dollars, so back to the working register to credit me. While we were doing that, a guy storms toward the door, gets there and u-turns, comes back and yells "who's the manager". It was the woman helping me. He starts ranting that an employee was incredibly rude. The first woman I worked with. She just screamed back that he should go to another store if not happy. He said gladly. From that point, fine, took about 3 minutes and I was up and running. Only 45 minutes to replace a battery. This was the worst service I've had in a long while (which I suppose is a good thing). That particular store has had hiring problems and I think it's catching up to them.
