  Came in to get an alignment and oil change knocking out 2 birds 1 stone, after discount tires installed my new tires the morning of. They tried to upsell me a total of $1600 worth of services to get my front left tire rod replaced and something else not related to the alignment. When I declined both services the rep on the phone tried to upsell me the rod replacement only ($700) and promised they could be done that day. Very shady of them and yes I had an appointment with them and I can do my oil changes as well but it seemed like they tried to swindled their way for more repairs because of it. I had the same vehicle aligned at a different Brakes Plus and they didn't find any issues related to what this location found. Before I left this location I asked to pull the history of my service records and explain how a different location was able to do the alignment service before but they couldn't explain themselves here. I wasted $70 on a oil change but it's whatever, they thought they could get more out of me. Be careful of these guys, I thought I could trust the highly rated reviews here. EDIT: After writing this please look at the other low reviewers. Seems like a reoucring thing this location likes to do when folks come in for alignment.

  Tyler and everyone is great. We've been taking our vehicles here for routine maintenence for over 2 years now, and have never had a bad experience. Always offer well priced services and never make you feel like you're being taken advantage of. Thanks again, guys!

  Would not recommend this store or their services. Customer service and staff are completely incompetent. Never again will I go back to any Brakes Plus location for any type of service. I dropped off my car Thursday morning for a simple wheel alignment, but they told me it couldn’t be done without replacing my wheel bearing and bolts. Fine — I agreed and let them proceed. I waited the entire day with no update. When I finally called myself, I was told the steering knuckle was broken and that the part wouldn’t arrive until Saturday. I still can’t wrap my head around how they managed to break the steering knuckle — that kind of error speaks volumes about their lack of skill and attention. I stayed patient, but Saturday came and still no update. I called around noon and was told they’d be picking up the part from the dealership within the hour and that it wouldn’t take long to finish. By 5 PM, still nothing — no call, no update, no courtesy at all. This was Saturday, and since they don’t open Sundays, I was left completely carless for the entire weekend. As of Monday, again, I had to call to get an update — no outreach from this team whatsoever. They were so inconsiderate of my time and the major inconvenience they caused. The techs weren’t apologetic or sympathetic — just indifferent. It leaves me questioning whether more damage was done to my car than they’re admitting. Completely unhelpful, unprofessional, and disappointing from start to finish.

  Honest, Fast, Top-Notch Service. I worked with Tyler and he was exceptional! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to fit me in the same day I called. They diagnosed the issue with my car quickly and Tyler explained it in a way that made sense (as I have no automotive knowledge). He used no jargon and did not try to upsell me on anything. All the staff there were great. I 100% recommend Brakes Plus in Erie!

Tyler gave outstanding service in understanding my need & even cut the price way beyond expected, just to keep me safe & on the road again. It nearly brought me to tears!… This team cares about your safety, helping & serving the customers with exceptional service over finances! I can’t really put it into words, the gratitude I have towards them, seeing to this URGENT need with my car!
