First of all the employees. They are always polite & helpful regardless of how their day is going & that can be a real challenge! Making a change in the drop-off time was something I had to do this trip but it was not as complicated as I imagined & was handled quickly & efficiently. This was the first time I used the Guaranteed Model/ counter-less pickup, which actually worked out pretty well!!! ( I had a little hiccup with the phone check-in but I am not a phone person! My fault!) I ended up getting assistance from a clerk outside & took my paperwork to the checkout booth. Done & done! The vehicle was amazing & it was perfect for mountain driving, even on icy roads. Check-in was also a breeze & once again the employee completing it really shone. Over the years I have used Sixt & Hertz, but once I tried Enterprise I never went back; that was decades ago. Some companies have improved on vehicles or perhaps pricing, but Enterprise knows that the employees are the heart of the business, & their people really show their commitment to your positive experience. No business gets it exactly right each time, but Enterprise does its utmost to make each rental experience the best it can be for you & truly takes the worry out of car rental. Thanks again for everything you do to make my trips better! And every little thing makes a huge difference! Best regards, LKW

Dear Enterprise I would like to share constructive feedback regarding my recent rental experience. Overall, the vehicle met my needs; however, there were two issues that I believe should be addressed. First, I was charged for additional mileage that appears to exceed my actual usage. I made an effort to stay within the agreed mileage terms, so I would appreciate a review of the mileage calculation to ensure the charge is accurate. Second, I returned the vehicle approximately two hours past the pre-scheduled return time. While I understand late returns may incur fees, the charge seemed excessive to the short delay. Greater flexibility or clearer guidance around grace periods would be helpful. I value Enterprise and have chosen your services due to past positive experiences. I hope this feedback is useful in reviewing these charges and improving clarity for future rentals. Thank you for your time and consideration. Mr. Shine

Their communications really need to improve. Was told in email my car would have my name on it and be waiting for me, but no such thing happened. Instead it took me an extra 30 minutes to get the car, and when I asked what happened to the name tag was told sometimes they take them down for safety. Plane was 30 minutes later than expected, but seems really arbitrary. Anyhow they ask for the plane schedule so should have known I guess. Everyone tried to be nice, but I mean just leave the name on the car if you say that's what you are doing. Or don't bother with the email. Also not the first time their email communication has been confusing or misleading. They really need to do more to connect the dots for customers.

Enterprise has great service and competitive pricing, but it needs to stop buying Jeep products. The first vehicle we tried was a Jeep Grand Wagoneer, which had a non-functioning passenger side window, and the air-conditioning didn't function. We moved our bags to another Jeep Wagoneer (the only AWD full-sized SUVs available were all Jeep products). That vehicle, while functional, exhibited all the oddities and weird reactions that Jeep seems to design into its products. When trying to pull the vehicle up a few feet to better fit in the parking space, it automatically applied the parking brake and wouldn't let me move it. It took me several minutes to figure out that it was because I didn't have my seatbelt on. That is poor design. I'm safety-conscious and ALWAYS wear my seatbelt when driving, but moving a vehicle two feet in a parking lot shouldn't require a seatbelt. If it is going to lock the parking brake on, it should clearly tell you WHY it won't move. Later the same day, after loading our skis into the vehicle and getting situated, I pressed the start button, and it wouldn't start. Suddenly, the horn started sounding repeatedly. Again, no clear reason why. It told me to start the vehicle with the key fob, but holding it to the start button didn't do anything. The horn continued to beep repeatedly, and I couldn't start the vehicle. I finally resolved it by getting out to the vehicle with the keys, closing the door, then getting back in.

I rented a car in California a sedan. I drove to Colorado for work. I get a check engine light and engine reduces speed. I call the branch I rented it form. The said go swap it in Colorado Springs. I get to the front desk and the guy said he only had one car available. He pulls up to the front in a crappy Mitsubishi Mirage. I took the car because,1 I didn’t want the Malibu to blow up on the road and 2 I was late for a business meeting. Funny enough a gal that came in right after me was able to swap out a van for a nice new jeep due to a flat. I then drove this death trap to Fort Collins being tailgated by the lovely Colorado people. I called the branch once more and asked them if I could swap vehicles, she said absolutely just to head over to the Denver airport. I proceeded to drive my boss in this crap box and pulled in at the drop location. The young guy there said that they did not have any cars available without checking the computer or calling someone. He insisted that there was nothing he could do. This location had to have had at least 100 cars, yet I was told to kick rocks. I then left, called the front desk and asked if they had any cars available they answered yes, I then told them that I would like to swap cars. She then put me on hold, then said said she could not do anything but to transfer me to customer service. The Ai man picked up and said that they were closed. I then called the branch and explained everything telling them that I did not feel comfortable driving this compact death trap back to California and explained how I was being charged for a standard sedan. She said she would call me back. Never did. I would definitely not recommend this rental services as they state they strive on excellent service. This experience has been less than satisfactory. Please do not spend your money on this terrible service. I will definitely be canceling my account with them and looking for a reputable company. It’s unfortunate that we can’t give zero stars. Hope I make it back in one piece.
