    I have rented from Alamo plenty of times before and everything was great. This time it was the total opposite. The process was good, but the car given was not. When you rent a car, from prior experience, though is a used car it feels like a new car. This car looked and felt like it was an employees car. When the service man told me the car I walked up to it and even the other people I was with said, "it cant be that one". I went back to the agent and he confirmed that that was indeed the car. Just by looking at the car it looked like it was just brought in and did not get a car wash or they wash it with a dirty ragged. I took it because I had to leave and while driving every bump or hole I took (and I try to avoid holes in general) I felt it on my butt. Like the shocks were messed up. Additionally, while driving a car shifted lanes and I had to step on the breaks. Either the pads were ending or it had not pads at all, because it felt like metal was rubbing. This was my first bad experience with Alamo, not saying I am not going to rent from them again, but if possible drive around their parking lot before you leave and test their breaks to make sure they are in good working orders.

    Booked a mid-size SUV AWD 10 months in advance for a three week road trip around the Rocky Mountains with my wife, easy online process and competitive price, chose the online option to 'skip the counter' to save time but on arrival there were actually three or four desk assistants available, pleasant parking garage assistant pointed out a choice of two vehicles, picked a Buick Envision (as I prefer silver to black) though it was on 46k miles and a little scabby around the edges but clean and comfortable, took a walkaround video as there was no joint inspection and no condition report received until a few minutes after I had left the garage when the agreement etc was emailed to me though I had been offered a paper copy on exit, condition report did not contain all the minor scuffs and scratches I had filmed, vehicle was faultless for the more than 3k miles trip, on return there were many lanes and assistants available, I took another video but no need as the helpful return assistant took a quick look around the vehicle and confirmed all good. My second similar experience with Alamo in the US though on that occasion the vehicle from Georgia Airport was virtually new and unmarked. Recommended.

    If I could give this location one star, I would. My sister is in Denver, traveling for work, and made a rental car reservation through Alamo. She is recently married, and has applied for her new identification, but has her old one, along with the official letter stating her new identification is being processed by her state. When she arrived at the Alamo counter to pick up her car, she was met with hostility and disdain by the representative supposedly because she did not have a so-called valid identification with her married name. This representative identified himself as the manager. He refused to give her the rental car that she had reserved. She is a frequent customer of Alamo, due to her work, and was completely floored by the lack of decent customer service at the Denver Airport Alamo counter. The representative refused to assist her in any kind of quality manner. Since this rental coincided with the influx of visitors for the FIFA game, she was unable to secure a rental at any other agency, leaving her to be forced to travel by Greyhound bus to get to her daughter. I am not sure if it is alamo's normal policy to discriminate against married women, or if this is just a practice by the Denver Airport manager, however, my advice to others is to avoid Alamo rent a car at all costs.

    I had a fairly disappointing experience here. After booking a Luxury class vehicle months ago, completing accelerated check-in, and arriving from Canada with the express desire to drive a luxury / performance sedan around the mountains. I was looking forward to this location because all of the reviews stated what a great selection they had, everyone seemed to get their vehicle of choice, and I saw my reservation listed as "Guaranteed selection" for either an Audi or BMW. I really wanted a BMW sedan. Arrive, and the attendant points to a single car on the lot, an Acura TLX, and tells me that's my car. As a daily Honda driver, an Acura is in no way a luxury vehicle, and it is not in the same class as BMW or Audi. I argue and tell them I don't want an Acura after spending Luxury class money, and show the attendant the Guaranteed Selection on my reservation, and he dismissively offers me Audi SUV. This goes back and forth for a while before they bring me a Genesis GV80. Certainly, a nice car, but the entire purpose of this trip was to drive a nice responsive sedan around the mountains. Alamo essentially ruined the main concept of this trip. And according to this attendant, the only luxury options they had at the entire location were an Acura or a Genesis SUV. That's a pretty horrible selection for the reviews I see on here. I was originally posting this as a 2-star review but after writing, Im changing it to a 1.

    Last weekend, after getting completely screwed over by Routes, I was able to secure a same-day rental from this location, and I’m really glad I did. Tracy was incredibly nice and super helpful throughout the process, especially given the stressful situation I was already dealing with. The only hiccup was that the vehicle we initially received had an issue with the windshield and needed to be exchanged once we reached our destination. During the exchange, I was told by multiple employees that we would not need to refill the gas tank on the original vehicle. So imagine my surprise when I saw a fuel charge on my final bill. That said, this is where good customer service really matters. I called Alamo, explained the situation, and they immediately refunded the charge without any hassle. Problems can happen anywhere, but how a company handles them says a lot. I’ve rented from this location before as well, and both experiences have been smooth overall. I genuinely wish every Alamo location provided the same level of customer service as this one.
