  Check-in and vehicle selection was quick and effortless. I'm giving the 2 star rating because my flight arrived early & therefore I picked up my rental early. I dropped the vehicle off at my scheduled drop off time and was emailed a receipt. After having to sign into my alamo account and spending 10 minutes navigating around to find where to go to actually view the receipt which is a pain in and of itself, I noticed that I was charged for an additional hour even though my rental was returned less than an hour over the rental period, 43 minutes to be exact. Any other time this has happened in the 30 years I have been renting vehicles there has always been a "grace period". I'm not sure if this fee is due to the location or possibly the system applying it automatically however, in any case it's still extremely frustrating and seems excessive especially since this was not explained at the time of drop off.

  I recently had an issue with my rental car and contacted the company to file a complaint. They worked hard to help me by trying to switch the car, even though I had rented it from Denver International Airport and was already far from there. They suggested the closest location for me, Eagle Regional Airport, but due to snow and safety concerns, I couldn’t make the trip and ended up keeping the original car. Even though we couldn’t complete the exchange, the company treated me very well throughout the process and did their best to fix the situation. In the end, they gave me a fair discount for the trouble I experienced, which I really appreciated. Overall, I think this company is professional and cares about its customers. I recommend renting from them, and I would book with them again in the future. I would also like to thank Charles Walsh, the person I dealt with. He was very professional, understanding, and a great example of good customer service.

  Alamo was easy and quick. I did not need to speak with an agent at the counter, so no pushy upsells. The agent outside showed us which vehicles were available, and we had several to choose from. Quick and easy. The only issue we encountered was that we were pulled over by police as the license tag was not registered to the vehicle. Thankfully, the officer was nice and let us go; however, there was a news article of another car rental company with the same situation, and the officers made the people get out with all their supplies and take an Uber while they impounded the car. It is something we will verify in the future.

  Switched to Alamo from a competitor that starts with “A” — night and day difference! Highly recommend doing accelerated check in and skipping the counter, pick up is always super seamless. I could see how the “car pick up line” could take awhile if it’s busy, but I’ve never had it take more than a couple minutes! I also really appreciated cars being flagged whether or not they were compliant with traction laws. My only complaint is that the cars have a strong chemical smell when you first pick them up, but it airs out. My wife thinks it’s the glass cleaner they use. But overall the cars are clean and generally in good condition! I’m on my third or fourth rental now and will continue to come back. Thanks!

  We arrived with almost a day of delay due to delayed flights and we were received by an agent that was simply not in line with the service level we were used to with Alamo. The agent became quite irrated when it came to the payment. I had some additional questions regarding a certain topic. The fact that we have different rules regarding max. Payment with touchless payment with a credit card in Europe was unknown to this agent and finally my credit card and my hand were tapped against the payment without contact device by this person. She was managing all this and watching a football match on her cellphone in the same time. This person isn't at the right place if your main goal as a company is offering a service to a customer. I mentionned this to the manager in charge. The manager helped to calm down the situation and excused herself. We received a nice car and everything else went perfectly fine. @Chris R. I would like to give you more information. The link you gave me doesn't allow me to send an email and the chat bot is down during the weekend
