The staff at this Advance Auto Parts location on Tower Road in Denver is experienced and knowledgeable. They greet me immediately every time I walk through the door. My experience has been happy, and it's very friendly here. They handle multiple customers in a timely manner. I've done online pickups from this store and deposit drop-offs; never a problem. They carry OEM 🛠🪛🔩 parts and have everything you need for your vehicle. 🚗🚘🛻 It's a popular location, so sometimes they're out of what you need, but they get parts in fast. Depending on the terms of their online sales, they normally have the same items in-store unless the website says online-only. They're honest about when parts will come in; best to call ahead if you need to work within a specific time frame. They carry the Mobile 1 Extended Performance line, which is great for high-mileage vehicles and eletrical components for wiring repair. Overall, this is one of my favorite auto parts stores in Denver. Considering I have to go to several different places to get the parts I need, this Advance Auto Parts on Tower Road just hits different. They have no problems with helping other customers while they multitask doing seemingly everything, just quality service and facts. Thanks

Girl behind the counter with piercings mixed race was very rude to me. I just wanted help but she seemed annoyed. She tried to embarrass me to and said “what’s this tape for”. My fob buttons are broke so I need the tape to keep them on. I don’t appreciate the rudeness and unprofessionalism

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
