Horrible experience, first time renting with Alamo. Had a business trip in Denver, ended up getting a flat tire and got stuck for over 4hrs waiting for a tow truck!!! Switched into another vehicle at a nearby Enterprise and of course another popped tire a few days after that. Did another vehicle exchanged. Only had the 3rd vehicle for a few days, dropped it off at the airport and explained to the manager the inconveniences I had gone thru regarding the roadside services and the issues I had. He helped me out and explained dont worry about anything, ill fix everything for you, and asked him if I need to take after pics( i always like to take them) and he said nope your all set! 2 days later now im getting a message saying theres hail damage on top of the vehicle that im responsible for!!!! 😡 it never hailed when I had the vehicle!!!! And of course its hard to get ahold of somebody. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY

We were given an upgrade to a Grand Wagoneer. It was great. Loved the massager in the seats! Halfway through our trip the check engine light came on. Called Alamo. The girl was clearly new and just reading a script. Sent us to an Enterprise. They had nothing comparable. Had to drive 30 more minutes out of the way to the Colorado Springs airport. They were helpful, exchanged for another Wagoneer. Left the property and the alignment was so off the vehicle almost made a left turn when you let go of the wheel. Had to go back and exchange again. Got a Ford Expedition Max. Nice car but smelled like someone had smoked in it. We kept it though. They were not as thrilled when we returned the second vehicle and charged us to fill up the gas tank. Denver airport apologized and gave us $100 off. It was all quite the hassle. Please take better care of your vehicles!

When I booked my car online it gave me an invitation to login with their app and submit pre-pick up information. I did that. I don’t know if it helped me or not because when I checked in to pick up my vehicle I did not need any of the information from the app. They just asked me for my ID, any add-ons like gas insurance, and I was on my way. I do LOVE how they had signs everywhere pointing you where to go! I also loved how when I reached the booth to get my car the gentleman came right out of the booth (suggesting he was paying attention) and pointed me to my vehicle which was already waiting for me with keys inside. When I dropped the vehicle off it was easy. We were guided by signs and there were lots of agents walking around with tablets to help you out and very attentive! good on you alamo you have come up in the world. you used to not be my first nor second nor third choice!

My wife and I recently rented a car at Denver airport on our trip to Colorado. We used the "skip the counter" option which was amazing. Easily saved us a 30min wait in a line at the counter.we got a mid-size suv. The suv was fine for the first day. During day 2, the car started acting up and we were about to make a trip to Breckenridge the following morning. We called customer service and they offered to switch out the vehicle. We were a long way away from Denver airport and it was late so we went to the colorado springs airport to switch it out. They didnt have any AWD vehicles so he informed us that Alamo was affiliated with Enterprise and that we could go to any Enterprise location the next day at 7:30am when they opened. There was an enterprise right by our hotel, on Glen Eagle drive in colorado springs. So the next morning we went there, explained to the employee Rhett the situation and he informed us that he didnt have any AWD vehicles either. But that he had a 4x4 pick up truck he could put us into. So he made the switch no problem. He saved our day and we made it to Breckenridge with no issues. So if Enterprise reads their reviews, I really cant stress enough, what a great employee Rhett is at the Glen Eagle location. Truly saved our vacation.

My usual go to car rental is Avis due to benefits thorough my work but I thought I'd give Alamo a try this time and the experience was less than ideal. I'm still leaving three stars simply because their employees where amazing and went above and beyond to remedy the issue I had. The issues started right off the bat. I had a 6-day reservation for a mini van but when I got into it, the dash display was not responsive, it was just a blank screen. I was then switched to a crossover (Chevy Trailblazer) which worked great...for a day! Driving through some mountain roads, the transmission was really struggling, skipping gears, slipping on take off, randomly going into what feels like neutral. I called customer service and I was told I can exchange the car, but the only Alamo location was back at Denver airport. 2 hours away!! I decided to wait until the next morning hoping it was just a heat issue from driving mountain roads, but the next morning the issues were the same. So I had no choice but to drive back to the airport. Back at the airport, I was switched to a Honda Ridgeline, after moving my gear to the pilot, it turned out that the android auto connection was not functional in it. The employees tried updating the software and clearing other devices from the system, but the issue persisted. After about an hour of trying, another Trailblazer came in and I was switched to it. This one worked great for the remainder of my trip. Overall, the customer service is really what saved this from being a one-star review. I was not happy that an entire day was wasted to switch vehicles. The employees helping me were great, they apologized for the inconvenience and said it will be made right on my next rental. I'm not sure how that's going to happen but I'm all about second chances so they will get their chance in a couple weeks when I'm back in Denver. We'll see how it goes!
