- CVColby VillersNov 14, 20221.0Make sure you get everything in writing or they will scam you! I was originally quoted $750 and four days for a synchro repair in my t56, two weeks later they finally get to my transmission and called me and told me it needed a 1-2 shift assembly as well and it would be $1000 now. Not a huge deal so i told them to go ahead and repair it. Well i go to pick the transmission up and the bill comes out to almost $1900. They tried to tell me they put $1000 dollars worth of parts in it alone plus labor but you can get a complete rebuild kit for less than $500 from summit racing. I could have had tick performance completely rebuild it with cryo gears and billet shift assemblies for that price! Moral of the story get all of your quotes in writing or email or they will do the same thing to you.
