  I’ve been a loyal customer at this Maverick gas station since it opened, always having pleasant experiences. However, my recent visit was a complete disappointment. Every time I walk in, there’s a new face working. I was trying to make a payment using my card, which I’ve used multiple times at this station. I was hoping to get cash back, but the staff was clueless and kept canceling my transaction or saying it wasn’t going through on their end, but on my end it kept saying remove card. I decided to get gas instead. I informed the attendant, TY, that I’ve used my card here at least two times a week. His response was rude and dismissive. He said, “I’m here every day!” in a condescending tone. I paid for my gas and went to leave, grabbing my receipt. He said “whatever.” As I turned around, I asked him to repeat what he had said. He shook his head, ignored me, and pretended like he hadn’t heard me. This was incredibly rude and unprofessional. I couldn’t understand why he felt the need to have an attitude and be unkind to a customer who wasn’t screaming or being rude. I had simply made a statement about my frequent use of the card and never had any issues. I hope the next time I visit this gas station, I don’t have to interact with TY. If I do, I hope he realizes that he works in a customer service job and that he needs to leave his personal issues at the door. He should act like a professional, be kind and courteous, and treat customers with respect.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Had a great experience at Mavericks in Canon City. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the service was quick, and everything was clean and well-run. Food/drinks were on point and the atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. Definitely a solid spot in town and somewhere I’d gladly come back to. Highly recommend checking it out!

  My husband and I usually go to the maverik in Pueblo and are never let down we just left the one in Canon City and will never go back there again we went in there because we were hungry and they usually have a variety of pizza, burritos and beef hot dogs there were two pieces of pizza that look like they've been sitting there all day long the hot dogs looked iffy our two burritos the only two burritos that were there don't know how long those have been sitting there the tater tots were so old that they were in pieces they weren't even whole very disappointing .

  Best place in town for gas station food and to fuel up. Crew are always friendly and helpful. Will keep coming back!
