  Star, she works at the Front Desk, is very sweet, knowledgeable, and helpful. So nice to have a pleasant person in service today. Eddie is a nice manager as well!!

  If I could give this Brakes Plus location a minus one star I would. Recently I brought my car in for a diagnostic due to smoking coming from under the hood within the last 24 hrs. Upon arriving to this location several of the technicians came out to my car and raised the hood. They looked around, brought it into the bay and told me they could see a hose that looked like it had melted but they were going to put it on a rack to confirm. After about 30 min the technician who looked to be in charge came and told me it was my brakes. My brakes? What happened to the melted hose they initially saw? He proceeded to tell me my brakes were so bad that they were causing the smoking. He brought me into the bay to show me (but not really showing me) how worn the brakes were because they never took a tire off of my car. So I couldnt really see what he was referencing. He wrote me up an estimate to about $350 for break pad replacement and told me he wouldnt drive the car more than 24 hrs because the brakes could go out. This all seemed suspicious to me. I took my car to another mechanic that indentified the issue that had NOTHING to do with the BRAKES. The upsale games that mechanics play is SHAMEFUL! If I would have paid the $350 for a brake pad repair that I didnt need the smoking would have still been there because the real issue wasnt addressed or resolved!

  If I could give this place a zero I would. I had my GMC Terrain towed to this Brakes Place at the end of December, a little before Christmas. I needed the cv axle replaced. I KNEW this was the issue. After I paid to have it towed over there they didn't even put it up on the bed to inspect the vehicle to be sure what's going on. Instead the mechanic named Darryl called me back and told me the car can't be driven. I told him yes! That's why I had it towed there. He told me the issue is the transmission. I asked him how he knows that if they haven't put the car up and inspected it? He told me he knows from his professional experience that the issue is the transmission. So I went back over there the next day and Darryl and another mechanic were still telling me it's the transmission without even having inspected it. I asked how would you know without looking at it. They said because of the sounds it's making and that it just happened to his car too so it has to be the transmission. So believing they know what they're talking about, I had it towed back to my home. Then I had it towed to a transmission shop. And wouldn't you know it! The transmission shop called me and said it's the cv axle not the transmission! I had the cv axle replaced by that transmission shop and my car runs fine now. It's so ridiculous that they didn't want to do their job and put the car in neutral and push it into and on a bed so they can properly inspect it. And because of this incompetence I lost additional time and money for unnecessary tows when it could've just been fixed there in the first place had they done their job. I had to end up getting it fixed on Christmas Eve when they could've done it right in the first place. Not to mention they lost money for this repair and a client because I will NEVER go back there. Totally incompetent team here. This isn't the first issue I've had with this place. They screwed up an oil change for my wife's car and didn't tighten up the cap on the bottom and oil was leaking in our garage. Don't waste your money here.
