  I am very disappointed of the last experience that i had with this rental. By pick up of the car I was told that the car has 9 scratches. When I went to take the car I couldn't see any of them because they were too little that even a human eye with a magnifier couldn't catch them. So I decided not to make any fotos or video because there was nothing to record. But , when returning the car , the employee there managed in only 30 seconds to find two new(??) scratches that were literally invisible!! The employee already knew about these scratches, as these two scratches were there before my pickup and this is only a trick of Alamo just to make some more money as I haven't paid for a full coverage . The result? They took 410 euros out of the deposit amount!! I tried to contact them, I opened a ticket in Customer Support but they didn't even respond. And as you can read below, the same happened to other customers of Alamo in BSL in the same period!! So you can make your own conclusions!

  I have received a claim for around CHF 1,389 for two damages that I believe already existed before my rental. A damage on tyre and a split seam on the pocket behind the driver’s seat! Fortunately, I recorded the exterior before driving, and the tyre condition appears to be visible in my photos. the second issue is just a split seam on the pocket behind the driver’s seat. Despite that, Alamo’s estimate charges for replacing the entire seat-back frame. The documents also contain questionable calculations, including what appears to be VAT being applied twice. I am very disappointed and frustrated with how this has been handled!

  IF YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED, FILE A REPORT TO SECO. My experience here was terrible. They didn’t have the car we booked and they are dishonest and fraudulent. Look at all the 1 star reviews all say the same thing. They tried charging us nearly $500 for scratches that were already there. Good thing we took photo and video of the damage prior to using the car, but even upon sharing this proof they still went ahead and charged our cards so now it has to be a whole dispute with credit card company. Don’t waste your time and money booking with this company that will scam you to make an extra buck.

  Tras un alquiler sin ningún incidente, al devolverlo me cargaron 427 CHF por una rozadura mínima en una llanta. No pude demostrar que no la había causado yo porque no disponía de fotos del coche a tanto detalle. Intenté contactar con el servicio de atención al cliente e ignoraron mis mensajes, tan solo tuvieron a bien facilitarme la módica factura. Lo único positivo, el personal del mostrador. Por lo demás, una experiencia nefasta.

  Fahrzeug tadellos zurückgegeben, Stunden später kam die «Checkin Confirmation» mit zwei angeblich neuen Schäden. Beide waren nachweislich schon bei der Übernahme vorhanden und wurden vor Fahrtbeginn über den offiziellen Damage-Report-Link gemeldet. Dieses offizielle Schadensportal hat mir am Ende nichts gebracht: Genau die dort gemeldeten Schäden wurden mir bei der Rückgabe als neu angelastet, ein Schadenfall wurde eröffnet und meine Kreditkarte belastet. Erst nach hartnäckigem Widerspruch (telefonisch natürlich niemand zu erreichen und auf Emails wartet man mehrere Tage), einer mehrfachen detaillierten schriftlichen Schilderung mit allen Belegen und einer Beanstandung bei meiner Kreditkartenbank wurde die Forderung fallengelassen und der Betrag vollständig zurückerstattet. Mein Rat: Verlasst euch nicht auf das offizielle Schadensportal. Fotografiert und filmt das Fahrzeug bei Übernahme rundum (mit sichtbarem Zeitstempel und Standort), sichert die Aufnahmen selbst und bewahrt alle Bestätigungen auf. Ohne diese eigenen Nachweise wäre ein bereits bestehender Schaden am Fahrzeug auf mich umgelegt worden und ich wäre auf den Kosten sitzengeblieben. Bei diesem Vermieter ist Vorsicht geboten! Insgesamt eine ärgerliche Erfahrung bei einer ansonsten reibungslos verlaufenen Anmietung.
