I’m finding it more difficult to rent a specific vehicle even with a 2 week notice of a reservation. I’m disappointed Enterprise doesn’t make vehicles available for the local office and instead require me to drive an hour to the closest office that has the vehicle I need to rent.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Enterprise location in Yucca Valley.
I had a confirmed reservation but was initially turned away because I didn’t have a physical copy of my licence (despite having valid ID). Trying to resolve this, I arranged for a friend to collect the car on my behalf. We returned 45 minutes after my reservation time, only to be told by the manager, Andrea, that she had cancelled my reservation without my permission and that no cars were available.
This was confusing and frustrating, as cars were still showing as available on both the Enterprise website and Expedia. When questioned, Andrea then changed her position and said she might be able to help if I came back in an hour. By this point, it was already two hours past my original reservation time.
What made the experience worse was the attitude. I pointed out the sign on the wall that reads “Our priority is you” and said it felt ironic given the situation. Andrea laughed and replied, “Yeah, it’s pretty funny,” and then told me she wasn’t going to find me a car.
Despite having a reservation and meeting all requirements, I was turned away. The customer service was appalling, dismissive, and unprofessional, and the commercial judgment equally poor. A reservation should mean something.
I would strongly caution others against relying on this location if you actually need a car.
