Edward the technician went above and beyond. I broke the rear window while replacing the hatchback struts. Not only did he repair the window, he also replaced the struts (I had the parts in the trunk due to being mid job when I broke it) without me asking. Totally unexpected but such a fantastic display of customer service and pride in his work. He also vacuumed out the trunk, rear seats and child seats. I was expecting to have all these things to do when I got off work but he stepped up and took care of everything. I have had 3 different technicians from West Sac location and he is the star.
Their website had an error during booking and never scheduled the appointment yet it charged me for the service. I had to manually schedule after with multiple tries to do so. Then I was told by all their emails that I had an outstanding balance despite being charged. I called and after going through an IVR call try I got to an AI assistant and finally a human. The human was terrible and less helpful than the AI. I clearly stated my concern and feedback that if the pending charge is expected then why say I have a balance? They just kept repeating the exact the worded response that felt like they were reading a script. Overall, their phone support is the worst. I gave 2 stars only because the tech themselves performs the job as expected.

A rock had chipped my windshield on the freeway. My insurance had a $500 deductible so I had to save up for the windshield to be replaced. The chipped spot began to spread until it covered over 1/2 of my windshield. I used the Internet to locate a company that would come to my home for the repair. Safelite met my requirements, they contacted my insurance carrier for me, opened the claim, and were able to complete the work within a few days. The repairman texted me the day before his arrival, confirming all information. He texted me the day of the service, and when he was on his way. He explained the procedure, what to expect when the work was completed, and was finished before the expected end time. I was extremely pleased with the service and would highly recommend Safelite to anyone with windshield issues.

Scheduled for at home then got a call the Friday before that it couldn’t be done at home. No one told me it would take 2+ hours. My appointment was at 3 dropped my car off slightly before and had someone pick me up because that’s when they told me it would take until 5pm but that I had to be back by 5pm if I was leaving because they close at 5pm. Got there at 4:55pm and was told they’re struggling to calibrate my windshield so instead of calling to tell me it would be another 45 min the bald dude who claimed they closed at 5pm and I “HAD” to be there by then let me show back up and told me that after I got dropped off. So apparently they don’t close right at 5pm and they could have just called when my car was done

Very unprofessional, I set up appt at 11am 1 hour the person said , then they suddenly change it to drop off at 7am cause it's a hard change ok drop off at 7 am, they said be done before 5, I called 2pm cause i see my card being charged lady said it's not done but at 5 pm for sure, I asked if can be picked up tomorrow , Amanda said no, they are close but at 5pm for sure it's done, , 440 im on the way to safelite with Uber I was informed it will be at 6pm, but that's going to be sure, so I said ok I am just gonna wait, 6pm comes manager goes out he said it's not done , cause they lack of people, this and that 10 cars are done etc ,
My point it ok , I know week end is busy that's why I drop off at 7am, tesla is hard windshield that's why I drop of at 7 am, I kinda think they may need more time that why I called to asked about 2-3 times to make sure cause I have a family gathering at 6pm they give me assurance multiple times
Very unprofessional !
