I was to have a rear window replaced and the tech came out and realized he needed a molding. This molding required an approval from USAA which didn’t happen until Monday/Tuesday. So, rather than just wasting a full Sunday hoping to have the window replaced, the car was undrivable for another several days as their next appointment wasn’t until Saturday am and we had to go to the West Sac shop rather than have it done at home. If this was the first 2023 HRV rear window that they’ve replaced, I may understand…but they should have known a seal will/may be needed regardless.

He was able to walk me through the steps, risks and time it would take. He went out of his way to contact me directly after I requested he call so that the doorbell didn't alert my three German Shepherds. It was seamless, quick and the chips were all gone!
- JJJohnSDec 4, 20251.0The glass technician needs better training. He lost some of my rear view mirror hardware, Which is one of two of the c-clip ball bearings and was being dishonest about it. I happened to have spare ball bearings since I replaced the rear view mirror prior before the windshield became damaged. After the windshield replacement, I noticed that the rear view mirror mounting plate trim was missing on the new windshield, he insisted that it was like that but I kindly asked multiple times for him to check the old windshield to see if it was still attached on the old base plate, and when he finally did so, he realized he did forget then quickly retrieved it from the old windshield and installed it onto the new windshield. I understand that we all make mistakes but there was no accountability on safelite's part. The weather strip on the side moldings were also not reinstalled correctly. I ended up correcting that issue after the fact because I no longer had the patience to point out to someone who is supposed to be a trained professional on how to perform their job.
