  Since the mid 70s I was a Cummins fan. Owned several and rebuilt them to. Great engineering and stood behind the product. That all changed a few months ago. I bought a generator from Cummins for my daughter who lived alone. I paid extra for the ten year warranty for or her. After the warranty was half over the generator wouldn’t start. I called for service under the warranty. They wouldn’t honor the warranty unless I allowed them to put a hold on my credit card for the amount of the service call totaling $3000.00, 50% of the price of the generator. The warranty included travel. Then most people would be at their mercy to be honest about what happened to the generator. I have seen many technicians that didn’t know what they were doing. But how can you trust a company that doesn’t honor a warranty. Once they have your credit card everything is in their favor. What it comes down to is the generator is a throwaway. This makes Cummins the lowest grade company possible. This is just the beginning of my crusade. Hopefully leading to a class action lawsuit. This is protection for others who can’t do their own repairs. Clessie must be rolling over in his grave. What a disgrace this company is today.
