  Most professional experience I have ever had. Nate went above and beyond to help us out with our rental car. He is an absolute legend. Will hire through these guys again when I’m back in LA

  I would give zero stars if I could. I had a PREPAID reservation at 4pm on Thanksgiving Day last year. I got there an hour early to make sure I'm not stuck without a travel vehicle for the long holiday weekend. When I got there the rep whose name tag said THE Juan (already an indication of the level of professionalism and maturity culture at this store) told me that the vehicle class I booked was no longer available and I would have to pay more to get the next class up. He was upselling me! I told him that he's supposed to upgrade the class (which later was confirmed by the manager and all of the Sixt customer service reps I spoke too). I even offered to be downgraded since I don't need anything fancy. He refused and said there was nothing he could do because I booked through a third party. I said it doesn't matter how I booked but he kept dismissing me and told me to call customer service. I asked to speak to a manager but he said there wasn't one available. So not wanting to be loud in the phone inside, I went outside and called. The walls and door are glass so he had a clear view of me the entire time and he was in and out assisting other customers and he could see me every time he passed me. Customer service hung up on me 3 times and time was running out so I went back inside and was willing to pay the upgrade fee that he kept pressing me to do. Then he says because I left he gave the last car away. He saw me in the phone with customer service the entire time! So here I was with no vehicle for Thanksgiving weekend and we were supposed to go spend the holiday with family out of town. Being Thanksgiving day, no other company would be open. THE Juan threatened to call the manager (all of a sudden the manager was available) and the cops and proceeded to throw me out of the store. The following day I spoke to the manager Nathaniel, who was equally as dismissive as THE Juan. I called Sixt and Travelocity multiple times and they both kept pointing fingers at each other saying the other owes me the refund. As it turns out, a manager was supposed to be on duty, which makes sense because THE Juan clearly couldn't be left alone. Maybe the manager wanted to have an early start to his holiday but that decision left me and my family stranded. After dozens of calls to both Sixt and Travelocity I didn't get anywhere so I disputed the $300 charge with my credit card company and only now got the refund but only as a dispute. Not an actual refund from Sixt or Travelocity. But it's March now so it took 3 months to get this resolved. The audacity of THE Juan to try to upsell me and because I didn't fall for his scam. He flat out refused to give me a vehicle I already paid for. And the audacity to treat me like a non paying customer because I booked through a third party. About 80% of customers book through third party websites but he wanted that upsell really bad. Maybe he had a goal to reach by the end of the month but that's not the customer's problem. I used to rent a lot from this store but never again. One of the times I picked up a vehicle i had to turn around because the tire had a nail in it. That was inconvenient but I didn't complain because I'm sure it was an innocent oversight. But what THE Juan did was unacceptable. We didn't get to spend the holiday as planned just because he really wanted a couple of dollars worth of upsell.

  I just had a total garbage experience with this rental company. It was my first time trying them. I spent money on transportation to get to the rental office. The car I rented wasn’t available. The only thing they had in exchange was a giant pick up truck. Of course they offered to upsell me other cars for $75 per day. The attitude of the agent and their customer service person on the phone was not very apologetic at all. Getting a refund is going to be difficult because I rented through a travel site. I will never do business with this company again.

  I am a return customer and when I came back after severla weeks, Bethlehem , my service representative, remembered me and my car preferences. She personaly made sure that I got the vehicle that I like to drive and that itwas ready for me. I really appreciated her extra care and excellent customer service.
