I have gone out of my way to write reviews to promote individuals and businesses, and avoid writing those that are less than, however I've made an exception for this one in light of looking out for others with the hope that they can avoid experiencing what I've had to endure for going on over four years now.
After fighting a lemon law case and winning, the situation has persisted because Honda Van Nuys owes me a refund of which it refuses to pay. More specifically, on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Marina Cortez confirmed via phone that the check was erroneously sent to Honda Financial instead and that they need to get their money back first, and despite saying she'd provide an update by Monday of the following week, has blown me off for over a month. The lack of integrity and grave unprofessionalism with this company and its people are disgraceful.
The following is a excerpt from my LinkedIn post earlier this year:
"For 3 years, 9 months, and 6 days, I tolerated and fought the circumstances of a lemon law case, and, I WON.
The win, however, did not come without a fight.

The experience consisted of:
• lies for financial gain (the stereotype of car salesmen and dealerships);
• indignant treatment and outright declinations for help by a rotation of advisors across multiple dealerships’ service departments in pursuit of solutions never found despite timely reporting and being under warranty, and having photo and video evidence, and witnesses (including a service advisor himself);
• living with the fear of the vehicle crashing at up to highway speeds due to persistent dashboard warnings and failing mechanics, and
• the latter also left me stranded for hours on different occasions in the hot sun and in the middle of cold nights;
• chronic body pain from the structurally unsound driver’s seat;
• being followed by private investigators;
• countless resources wasted;
• etc.

This vehicle was brand new and showed no signs of malfunction during at least two test drives prior to being purchased."
Go elsewhere if you're car shopping, proceed cautiously with any dealer, require an extended test drive on an open highway for a vehicle you're seriously interested in (not an option I was given), and max out the warranties when purchasing.

My experience with my visit here this time was great! I had Tony assist me with my vehicle service appointment and he was AMAZING! Great customer service, very patient with my questioning (I've been paranoid due to other experiences), and even found me a deal to save me a LOT of money. I told him he messed up cuz now I was only going to seek him out for help in the future 😅. Additionally, they were very quick. I was supposed to wait about 2.5 hours for my service and they got it done in less than half the time! All that to say I feel much more comfortable visiting them here for future services.
I had an emergency situation, breaking my driver sun visor so it dangled in front of me, and they fit me in. Miguel was the supervisor - could not have been better. To replace the visor would have cost about $500, so I passed on it for now. However, the inspection and analysis cost about $40, which was definitely worth it. The mechanic seemed quite competent and experienced. If this service dealership were closer to my home, I'd give them a try.

My experience was 5 stars for the complete and total honesty i experienced. My service advisor was easy going non pressuring and knowledgeable. I appreciate that my service was done fast and no one attempted to completely rip me off as was my experience from Bakersfield Barber Honda. I have always taken my car to be serviced at Honda of Van Nuys and have never once had a bad experience. I was told by Barber Honda $2,000 for a complete AC repair. ( i moved to Bakersfield in 2024) when i took it to back Van Nuys Honda it was confirmed it was only the Covered compressor (same Diagnosis give by my mechanic) the part was covered at no cost and i walked out feeling much more confident in Van Nuys Honda. I cannot thank your team enough for the honesty, the respectful manor in which my advisor handled me as a woman and the fact that i saved $2,000.00 in this economy. I am truly grateful. Thank you.!!! Customer for life ! I do not care if i have to have it towed to you guys from Bakersfield i would never service in Bakersfield Honda after that. Jeremiah Carpenter was my service advisor. What a wonderful experience. Thank you again.

I recently had one of the best car-buying experiences ever at Van Nuys Honda, and I have to give a huge thank you to Vazrik—better known by everyone as Vick (Victor), the people’s favorite sales consultant. My longtime friend Ray and I have been friends for 22 years, and when he mentioned he wanted to upgrade his vehicle, we knew exactly where to go.
Ray was driving a 2024 Honda HR-V, which for those who don’t know is a crossover. He loved the reliability, but he wanted something a little bigger—specifically the 2026 Honda CR-V Hybrid, which is a mid-size SUV with more space, comfort, and features. The one concern he had was his monthly payment. He was paying about $475 a month on a car with a $27,000 sticker price, and he really hoped to keep his payments close to that.
