This dealership cost me 200 credit score points through sheer negligence.
After my car was totaled, Chevrolet Van Nuys owed GM Financial $2,000 and sat on that money for five months instead of paying it.
During that time, GM Financial reported the unpaid balance to the credit bureaus, resulting in over 100 days of negative credit reporting. As a direct consequence, my credit score dropped by roughly 200 points.
Both GM Financial and I repeatedly called and emailed Chevrolet Van Nuys over the course of months trying to resolve this issue, only to be ignored. There was little to no communication or accountability.
This situation was completely avoidable and caused serious financial harm due to the dealership’s inaction. I would strongly caution anyone considering doing business here, especially when it comes to handling financial obligations after a sale or lease.

Terrible Customer Service & No Real Inspection
This is by far one of the worst car service experiences I’ve ever had. The customer service is awful — they simply do not care. Even when you clearly explain the problems with your car, they ignore you and don’t bother to actually check anything.
I specifically told them what was wrong, and they either brushed it off or pretended to look at it. No proper inspection, no communication, and no accountability. It feels like they just want to rush you out without fixing the real issues.
If you value your time, money, or safety, do not come here. I will never return and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Worst experience my family has EVER encounter getting a new vehicle.
My wife and I purchased a 2025 Chevy Equinox EV in the month of August 2025.
By September 9 2025 The car just died completely and would not even charge.
Note that we were left stranded in the 14 freeway with children in the car.
Chevy did not respond and ended up paying my own lift ride to wait for a tow truck in a safe spot for the vehicle to be picked up.
The dealer service department said it should be a quick fix..... Well it wasn't.
It is now the end of 2025 and my car is still at the dealer.
The dealer provided a loaner car which they asked for back due to mileage, then provided another loaner car.
The car got a minor damage on a tail light cover and the service department was asking for the deductible right away which I refused because my insurance adjusted had not seen the vehicle yet. Long story short, they deny giving me another loaner so we had to Uber/Lyft from Van Nuys California to Palmdale.
Thank God for the lemon Law!
paying 4 months for a car I don't even have and the worse customer service EVER!!!!!!!!!!
Stick to any other make and models of vehicles. Not this one.
Not to mention, I keep getting recalls messages for a numerous amount of other issues the vehicle has.

Bought a new 2026 Chevy Trax recently and the entire experience from start to finish was extremely satisfying and smooth. I couldn’t have done it without the tremendous effort from our salesman SAM. He literally moved mountains to get me in the car of my dreams. As a first time car buyer I went into it unsure of what type of experience I will have. Extremely disappointing experience with Van Nuys Chevrolet.
During the sale, I was told that their vehicles are priced higher than the private market because they go through a “200-point inspection” before being sold. Unfortunately, the car I received clearly did not.
The vehicle was delivered with two major safety issues:
– brake problems, and
– a defective steering wheel.
These are not minor details. They are serious safety-related issues that should have been caught immediately if any real inspection had been done.
I had to argue and go back and forth for over a week just to get the dealership to acknowledge and agree to fix these problems. To be fair, the repairs were eventually done at no cost, but only after significant effort and a long from Riverside, which was extremely inconvenient.
What makes this situation even more frustrating is that nearly four months after purchasing the vehicle, I still have not received my DMV registration/title. Despite multiple written follow-ups, the dealership has not provided clear answers or updates.
Paying a premium for a so-called inspection process, receiving a vehicle with serious defects, and then being left without proper registration months later is simply unacceptable.
This experience has been extremely misleading, and I strongly recommend to go to an other Chevrolet dealership....
