- CHCharles Holt4 days ago1.0I requested a transmission service for my 2016 ram eco diesel. They charge me 300 dollars. They said they checked the oil and found metal shavings. They then told me that they would not do the service because the transmission needed to be replaced and because it was a "sealed" transmission they could only replace it with a whole new transmission for 10 thousand dollars. They then offered me 2 thousand dollars in trade in value for the truck. I then took my truck to A1 transmission and they said there was litteraly nothing wrong with my transmission and it didn't even look like anyone had removed the plug to check the transmission oil. A1 also said there was no metal shavings present and no further maintenance or repair was needed at the moment. Get a second opinion if these guys try to sell you an expensive service.
