  I unfortunately had a very bad experience there with Branch Manager Charles Hays. I was on vacation in Tahoe City with an Enterprise car from Las Vegas, NV (the car was having battery issues, needed a jumpstart and then the battery was going out again a day later.) Anyhow, the Roadside Assistance advised I could go to this location in Truckee, CA to switch out the car. I specifically asked if a replacement car would be available and they said yes, the computer system showed a car available. Upon arrival there, Mr. Hays said he didn’t have a car for me. I was disappointed, but no big deal, I understand the computer system that Roadside Assistance used may not be 100% accurate. However, it was Mr. Hays unhelpful and argumentative attitude that bothered me. I asked if he could please call the Enterprise location at the Reno Airport. He sighed as if I was asking a huge favor (there was no other customer waiting besides me.) I told him I’d appreciate if he called because I wanted to make sure that they had a car (it’s a 37 mile drive there, plus I was worried my car could fail again with the battery issues.) The call took a minute and the Reno Airport location said they didn’t have a car available. After that call, I asked Mr. Hays what my options were (my main concern was driving back home in a few days, as parts of the drive are very desolate, some with no internet or phone service.) Mr. Hays said I could take the car to an auto repair shop or go to the Reno Airport location for a switch out. I responded that the Reno Airport location had just said they didn’t have a car available. He responded with, “oh, they’re probably just saying that.” This response bothered me because it seemed like that was what he was doing to me. I really didn’t care if the Truckee location didn’t have a car available, it is what it is, but it was the discourteous attitude that I felt was uncalled for. Ultimately, I took the car to an auto repair shop and they replaced the battery, so other than the inconvenience and time spent with dealing with the situation, the car got fixed. I understand that miscommunications between Roadside Assistance and a local branch can happen, but politeness and understanding would go a long way towards helping the customer feel better about the situation.

  Truckee isn't a place where you expect to need to rent a car, but if you do, Charles and Lucas have you covered - AWD, luxury, or practical, it will be clean and ready to go. Highly commended, a real pleasure working with them!

  This enterprise Rent-A-Car location is perfect for the people that live in the Truckee area. The folks at this Enterprise or professional and knowledgeable. There’s a wide selection of Cars and trucks to rent from here. Whenever I am in the Truckee area I always use this enterprise location.
