- TTTroyFeb 17, 20261.0Came in with two medium size lead-acid batteries for the $10 core credit, literally labeled "Pb", and I get two grey shirts telling me they aren't eligible for the green battery store credit. (The process where AutoZone sends leaded batteries back to the mfg and gets a more than $10 credit for each core). The exact same model battery I've been taking for this location for years, no questions asked, and suddenly the new grey shirts are spooked. Train them better, alright?

I asked an employee for help installing it, but he told me it was “impossible” because an air intake was blocking access to the bulb. He even suggested that I go to a body shop to have the air intake removed just to replace a simple light. This was honestly ridiculous. After that, I replaced the bulb myself in less than one minute, without removing anything at all. I’m very disappointed by how unqualified and misleading the advice was. Employees should have at least basic knowledge of simple car maintenance, or at the very least not give incorrect recommendations that waste customers’ time and money.

If you have an item that is brand new in the packaging and would like to return it to autozone after 90 days, any other autozone will not accept it, you must return at the original location of purchase. In my case, that was out of town. They won’t work with you on that. No issue with the employees, they were very professional. Let’s see if Oreillys has this policy.
