When I saw this happening, I canceled the transactuon and went to the register to prepay. Our conversation: Me: "So I would like $30, the pump just tried pre-authorizing for $200!" The fella working replies, "Yeah if you use the tap it does that." Me: "Why would it ever do that?" Him: "Because that's the most gas you can get." Me: "But who does that?!" Him: "Well no one really." $50 pre-authorization sure, but $200?! A lot of people don't have that much in their account! This is honestly out of line. Cannot support this, will never come here again. Sucks too because it's right on my way home.
