    If I could give them a zero I would. I had a confirmed reservation for a Dodge Durango or similar for pick up at 12 noon on 12/23/25. I received a message on my answering machine from a representative the night before to advise me they were unable to fulfill my reservation that was booked and confirmed on their website. Their office was closed when I got the message and returned the call. I called them back first thing the the next day and spoke to a representative who apologized and said they had no cars available at my pick up time but might have a small car later in the day. I shared that would not work as we needed an SUV with 4 adults, 3 dogs, luggage and Holiday gifts for our 4 hour drive. There was a less than sincere apology and no offer of trying to make it right. After calling their corporate offices to express my frustration after Christmas there was no apology. All they said was I had to speak with the location that booked the reservation. They said they would call them and I would get a call from them in 3-5 days. After not hearing from them for a week I called back the toll free number and asked to escalate my issue to a manager. To my dismay Derek in St. Louis told me their "policy" does not guarantee they will have a car for a confirmed Reservation with Enterprise. Seriously? I was told that is the policy. All he could do was call the local District Manager and ask him to call to address my issue. It has now been a week and as you may expect- no phone call from the District Manager. Having been a road warrior for 40 years I have never experienced such abysmal service and not even an attempt at service recovery. Hard to believe American Express would even recommend this company to their top customers. Needless to say it will only be Hertz or Avis for me. Update 1/13. I contacted the customer service as suggested and had a chat with their agent. She was professional, apologized, and said she was escalating it to a manager to respond. I promptly heard back from the new Rental Branch Manager. He apologized profusely and resolved my situation restoring their faith in them. Thank you.

    Super easy to work with, especially when I had to come back and switch out cars (I wanted a different type). Appreciate the flexibility!

    I have to give a shout out to Gary Joseph who went above and beyond. I reserved a car at the Solana Beach location and paid extra for GPS. When I arrived, I was told they didn't have a car ready because the previous renter had not returned theirs yet. Gary drove me to the Encinitas location where a car was ready for me. Unfortunately, it did not have GPS and I was informed the small vehicles no longer have GPS capabilities. I don't have a smartphone, so Gary did his best to troubleshoot and was prepared to print out map instructions for me (which would have been a bit tricky for a 7 hour road trip), but managed to find a TomTom GPS that saved the day!!! I really appreciate Gary staying with me until the issue was resolved and I could be on my way. I took one star off for Enterprise corporate needing to update their website, and remove the GPS option as an add on since it is no longer a service they provide.

    This is the worst company to ever rent from so DON'T DO IT ! Reserved our Large SUV over 3 months ago. Specifically called back 3x to make sure they knew that we needed this size vehicle which they confirmed and promised would be available. Show up only to be told we only have a pick up truck or small SUV as an option. We were given a bunch of excuses. Such B.S. I've gotten the same treatment from other enterprise locations...Ogden, Utah, Salt Lake City, Encinitas, and now here. We wil never be back and will discourage anyone from ever renting from this place. We rent alot of cars and know alot of people so it will matter !
