    My 2012 Chevy Silverado 3500 Diesel Duramax 6.6 HD, 4-Wheel drive, went into check engine warning light mode. The warning messages displayed included 1. Service Stabilitrak 2. Service Traction Control 3. Park Assist Off. The truck went into drive safety mode. I took my truck into the Simi Chevy dealership service center as I have always taken my vehicle there since it was purchased at this dealership brand new. Long story on this, after two days in the service shop I was told by the service advisor that the Allison transmission was the issue and had to be replaced with a new one at the cost of $12,500. After some agonizing thought and puzzlement I decided to pursue a second opinion. I had my truck towed from the Service Department shop to a transmission repair shop. The head mechanic at the transmission repair shop determined that the mechanical issue was a bad Transmission Control Module and there was no issue with truck's Allison transmission. So far, my truck is running normally again and needless to say I am disappointed to have paid a diagnostic fee of $250 for a diagnosis that never identified a mechanical problem code on the invoice repair form nor a written explanation to support repair and replacement of the transmission. Not to mention I had to pay for tow service charges. I have purchased at least two vehicles from Simi Chevy dealership dating back to the William Morris dealership days and have always utilized this repair service shop. My service advisor there has been my go to guy for all services on my truck. I certainly need to inform the Simi Chevy service department on the outcome and their wrongful mechanical diagnostics fir repairs not needed. I would think that someone at Simi Valley Chevrolet would be concerned enough to contact me to maintain my confidence to conduct business at this dealership!

    Terrible dealership. Terrible experience. Jon and Jose can’t stay true to their word then try to gas light customers into thinking it’s their fault publicly .. Do not listen to the recent positive reviews. They are most likely fake. This dealership is terrible and will be reported to the California Department of Consumer Affairs and also to California DMV Investigations should they not reach out personally and sort this out. You know who you are and you know exactly who you need to call.
