Recently, I leased a 2026 GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced (Black on Black) from Genesis Santa Monica, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish.
I had the pleasure of working with Xavior and Artur, both true professionals. I especially want to recognize Artur — not only is he excellent at his job, but he is also genuinely caring, supportive, and always responsive whenever I had questions or needed clarification. His level of attention and professionalism made the entire process smooth and stress-free.

I initially spoke with Daniele (GM) who made me feel like a VIP and told me her GSM Carl and his team would take care of me and show me the GV70 3.5T. Carl and Serhii (sales rep) were incredibly pleasant and Serhii took me through all the details of the vehicle (too many to take in at one time) and we went for a nice test drive in this incredible vehicle. Serhii was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions. Carl and I went over the numbers and gave me some great information on lease programs, incentives, residuals, etc. At no time did I feel any pressure, which is extremely rare with car dealers these days.
I wasn't quite ready to pull the trigger, but Serhii stayed in touch with me over the next week or so. Unf. the car that I really liked and test drove was sold. However, they sent me a video of another car (same trim level), but just in a very different (for me) color combination. I ended up with an even better car and very much appreciated them giving me a headsup on the car as soon as it had arrived. I went in the next day and sealed the deal to get my first Genesis! Even dealing with the Finance guy (Lou?) was pleasant (unlike past experiences)!
I can't say enough about such a positive purchasing experience at Genesis Santa Monica. Of course, they are there to sell cars, but I felt like I got a great deal and felt like I was doing business with folks that really care about the customer. I wish I had more $ to get another car there. But I'll come back once the hybrids come out in a year or so and would definitely give my business (and strongly recommend them) to these guys again. I'm LOVING my new ride!

I drove here 1.5 hours to get my headlights assembly replaced due to condensation, but when I arrived the condensation on the left headlight went away. The service advisor says they won't replace both headlights because the condensation needs to be present when I arrive at the dealer.I said I have video and pictures of both headlights with condensation in them. I explained how it's safety issue while driving at night I can't see because of the condensation, and the service advisor just doesn't care about my concern. I have photos and videos of condensation been present in both headlights!!! I was told they will let me know when the part arrives but I really doubt it at this moment. The service advisor Jose Gamboa talks in a vulgar way cursing at people and gets confrontational. I hope an owner sees this review and I get a reply. Horrible service it's a shame how I got treated.
I used the valet service for regular maintenance last year, but the experience was unacceptable. Two weeks later, my engine oil spilled across my office building parking lot because a bolt had fallen out. Even worse, I discovered that one of the unique patterned wheel lock bolts was missing entirely.
In over 30 years of driving, I have never seen such a lack of basic mechanical competence. I spent an entire day dealing with the fallout of this 'service' at the Santa Monica branch. If it weren't for a very kind staff member who stepped in to resolve the situation, I would have walked away from the brand. Genesis makes great cars, but the technical training at that location was abysmal.
I truly hope my case served as a wake-up call to improve their standards.

We really had a great experience purchasing this vehicle. The sales team was really great. We bought it CPO and the car is great overall A few days after purchasing the vehicle we noticed the car pulling to the right. We live in Oceanside and we bought the car in Santa Monica. My wife primarily commutes to work in the car, so I didn't drive it much myself. We were hoping maybe the pulling was temporary or in our heads, but the more we drove the more we noticed. Less than a month after the purchase I contacted the Santa Monica dealership thinking the would take care of this at no cost since it was like this when we purchased it. The service department told me if it had been less than a week they would, but almost a month was too long. They continued to mention policy, but there is no policy stating you have a week to bring up any issues. I tried to reason with them that good customer service and client relationships are important, and a simple $250 service like this should not be such an issue for them. They obviously believe I am lying and that this issue occurred sometime after the purchase. I'm incredibly frustrated as this is my first experience with this service department and I would HIGHLY recommend staying away from this dealership. On a side note, the dealership in San Diego told me they can't perform the service free of charge since they did not sell me the vehicle, but they are willing to split the fee with me. They were extremely pleasant to speak with , unlike Santa Monica who didn't offer me anything to make the situation right. Thumbs down Santa Monica.
