Went in for an oil change. I then noticed the Blacked out Coupe. I asked for the sticker price. If I had to guess, the manager did NOT want to have that truck. Managers are usually more eager than the salesman. He was terrible.He began to tell me that the car was $91k… I’m thinking ok “I HAVE THE PRESTIGE signature”that was $83k at the time of my lease. He then said “it’s like Black Friday, what was on sale on Friday, is not on sale today”. Everything he said was WRONG.!!! His energy was off. And THANKS TO HIM I DROVE OFF in my 2024. My lease is up in 9mos, this is one dealership I would not enter again.

Genesis of Santa Monica: A Pattern of Disappointment
My initial lease experience with Genesis of Santa Monica three years ago was disappointing, costing me a $4,000 down payment for the same vehicle and trim I now lease for less. This past Sunday, hoping to sell my expiring lease back to them—a vehicle they both leased and serviced—I was informed I had "zero equity" and they would offer me nothing. This blatant disregard for customer loyalty and fair dealing is consistent with their abysmal 2.1-star rating on Dealer Rater.
A Culture of Poor Service:
• Sales & Finance: Their sales and finance departments operate with a shocking lack of integrity. Their tactics are questionable, and their honesty is suspect.
• Service Department: The service department is a chaotic mess. Inconsistent service, unreturned calls, full voicemails, and a chronic lack of loaner vehicles are the norm. This is hardly the "luxury experience" one expects from Genesis.

Furthermore, they are sending me a $2,000 check for my old lease—a testament to their fair valuation and ethical business practices. Their 5.0-star rating on Dealer Rater is well-deserved.

I’m absolutely thrilled with my recent purchase of a 2026 Genesis GV70 Select in gorgeous Uyuni White from Genesis Santa Monica!
Working with Sung Jung was an outstanding experience. He was punctual, incredibly responsive, and went above and beyond to make my car search seamless and stress-free. Sung answered every question with patience and clarity, and his professionalism truly stood out. Even after the purchase, he followed up and helped me with every single question I had, which I really appreciated.

Was working on a deal on a stock number and the rep tried changing me to another car, then they tried telling hasn’t had its PDI, next day it sold .. this dealer plays games and wastes your time. Don’t bother dealing with Juan or Sarah - bad tactics ans very unprofessional in the end.

My experience with the Genesis dealership was hands down one of the most pleasant car buying experiences I’ve ever had. You can genuinely tell that the people here enjoy what they do, and that energy makes all the difference.
Judy, my service advisor, was fantastic
attentive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Carl, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure I was locked in at a rate I felt comfortable with, without any pressure or runaround. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and incredibly respectful of my time I was in and out in record time.
This is my first Genesis vehicle, and I’m absolutely loving it. The GV70 is an incredibly smooth ride with quick acceleration, next level safety features, and let’s be honest… it’s pretty easy on the eyes in all black!
