- DSDH SlammerJan 29, 20261.0Used the SafeLite service (as contracted through my insurance) to set up an appointment for windscreen replacement, confirmed the VIN of my vehicle, and confirmed the appointment time, location and duration of 1-1.5 minutes for installation. I rearranged my entire day to make this happen, but when I arrived they said it would actually take 2.5-3.5 hours because it was different than what was expected, I have optical sensors that need to be aligned after glass installation. However when you look up the VIN to order the correct glass, it would obviously show that there are sensors that need to be aligned. The installer said the estimator didn't get it right, but it was their own estimator service and not a 3rd party. I didn't have potentially 3.5 hours to wait when I was quoted 1-1.5 hours. An entire day wasted with this including lots of extra driving. No, I won't be rescheduling with this company.

Scheduling was very easy & convenient (they were able to come to my home and do the repair in my driveway). Communication was great (reminder call the day before, and the technician (Rafael) called before coming over. Rafael was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do and he completed the whole repair super quickly. Overall, I was very impressed and happy with my experience, and the fact that it was 100% covered by my insurance was the icing on the cake.
