  I was visiting Santa Cruz from out of town when I realized I needed new tires immediately. When my partner called Lloyd’s, she was quickly connected with Juan, who kindly and patiently answered all her questions. He explained that although they didn’t have my exact tires in stock, they could order them and have them ready by 10 a.m. the next day. The pricing was very reasonable, especially considering the quick turnaround, labor, and ordering. When I dropped off the vehicle, both Juan and James were incredibly professional and courteous, making the whole process smooth and stress-free. They originally told me the work would be done by 2 p.m., but they had everything finished by 11:30 a.m.—ahead of my 12 p.m. pickup time—which I really appreciated. They kept me updated throughout and had everything ready right on time, just as promised. The installation was quick and clearly done with care and attention to detail, which gave me confidence getting back on the road. Thanks to their efficiency, we were able to make it safely back home. It’s not often you find a shop that combines efficiency, fair pricing, and genuinely kind customer service—especially when you’re in a tough spot away from home. I’m very grateful for their help and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area.

  We were totally dissatisfied with the recent service we got at Lloyd's. We needed 2 new tires for our Camry. We called Lloyd's because we have dealt with them for many years. They told us the tires were in stock, so we made an appointment for the next afternoon. We arrived at our appointed time, and were told we could wait. After an hour, they had not started on the work. After another half hour, we asked if the car was ready. The manager said she had to close out some paperwork. 20 minutes later we were still waiting for her to complete the paperwork. Needless to say this was a terrible experience. The current corporate ownership has completely destroyed the stellar reputation that the Johnsons have built over generations of service to the community. We will be looking elsewhere for our future tire service.

  I got a battery replacement for my vehicle. Lloyd’s fit me in immediately, despite it being a Sunday and them having a busy schedule. Great customer service.

  Was able to get me in same day, after it was finished and I drove off the tire the put on was set 10 psi more than the rest. Now I need to make a return visit to fix the issue. Also the men’s bathroom was awful, I’ve seen outhouses better.

  I have been going to Lloyd's Tire & Auto Care for my tire repair and service for years. I am always amazed at how helpful they are but beyond this there work is phenomenal. This year I had a new (but used) car that they hadn't put the tires on but both times I went in with a tire pressure issue they addressed it immediately (without cost). They let me know I didn't need tires yet (not trying to oversell me at all). This past time when I had a nail and need a full tire replacement they ordered the tire, had it within less than 24 hours and had my car fixed right away. I will always go here -- they stock high quality tires, are superbly professional and I have never had an issue in the past 20 years I have taken my cars to them. Rather I have always been helped and supported in all my tire needs.
