- SPStephen PasquiniApr 13, 20265.0I had my 2017 Subaru Crosstrek Manual transmission repaired at Cen Cal Automotive and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Initially, there was a persistent issue after a shift fork failure repair, but they absolutely stood by their work and went the extra mile to make it right. They kept me updated the entire time—super responsive, transparent, and honest throughout the whole process. At one point they even had the vehicle back out on Highway 17 road testing it to make sure everything was safe and truly fixed before returning it to me, which I really appreciated. What stood out even more was the pricing—I had other shops quote me nearly twice as much for a diagnosis and “possible” repair. Thanks to David and Stephen at Cen Cal my beloved Subaru with just 67k miles avoided a fate at the Pick and Pull and is still the ever intrepid road warrior. It’s not always easy to find a shop you can trust, but these guys earned it. I can’t recommend Cen Cal Automotive enough.

I was at work and didn’t respond so they went with the basics which is what I would have done as well. They also found my brake pad was missing a bolt and they replaced it for free since it was critical to my safety. The store manager Alexis is very personable and honest. He informs you about what should be done and when to do it, but never tries to force a sale on you.
