I went into the store for help and the employee I spoke with, Alex / Eric, refused to assist me solely because it was raining. No alternatives were offered, and I was left stranded. I ultimately had to call AAA just to get my car started. After that, I had to drive to an O’Reilly Auto Parts on the other side of town. They didn’t bat an eye. They came out in the rain and changed my battery without hesitation. I later called the AutoZone store and spoke with a manager, who confirmed that helping customers with battery changes is their policy, and that they even have an awning specifically for situations like this. That made the refusal even more disappointing. This wasn’t a policy issue — it was an unwillingness to help. Customer service should be consistent, and this experience fell far short of what’s expected.
