A great store. Much better than O’Reily’s. I wanted a Mortorcraft rebuilt alternator for my 2002 F150 5.4 L . I got it delivered in 2 days. Working great!!!!

Adventures with Autozone. Looked online for front brake rotors and mentioned they were in stock. Go to the store in person and they gave me the wrong ones. I go back to Santa Clara to return them and get the fronts. They didn’t have the fronts in store despite what it said online. Santa Clara forwarded me to Monterrey rd location only for me to find out there were two locations on Monterrey rd and I was sent to the wrong one. So I go to the other location that had an airport TSA long line. They also told me I would get the discount with the brakes included at the Monterrey location. (Passed the problem on to someone else). I then found out I could not return the wrong rotors at the Monterrey location without the brakes combo (despite having them on the same return receipt I brought with me) and the brake pads were already on the car as they were the correct ones. So I had to call someone that was near my car 10 miles away to send me a screenshot of the barcode that the brake pads came in to include it in the return bundle. What was a simple, and could have been a simple job , and would have been done with them by now, turned into going to 3 different autozones because of their system and their employees not having knowledge on it without having to talk to their managers. Also their brake pads and rotor bundle isn’t ’FREE’. It’s a scam. I am paying for my brake pads alongside the price of my brake rotors. What a joke!

Refusal to honor written policy + hostile staff behavior Incident Date/Time: Sunday, Jan 11, ~7:55 PM I’m writing this to document a serious failure in customer service and basic policy handling at this AutoZone location. I attempted to return a NOCO Genius 10 charger with the original packaging and a valid, timestamped receipt. Instead of processing the return or clearly explaining a policy exception, the employees dismissed the policy printed on the receipt and escalated the interaction: • Dismissal of written policy: When I referenced the return policy printed on the receipt, the associate responded: “Every blank receipt has a return policy, so what does it mean?” • Inconsistent reasoning: I was also told they couldn’t accept the return because the associate “did not sell it” to me. That makes no sense—returns should be handled by the store based on policy and proof of purchase, not which employee rang it up. • Hostility / profanity: When I asked for the refusal in writing or a business card, the second employee replied: “Do I look like someone who would have a card?” The situation continued to escalate, and I was told to leave. As I was leaving, profanity was used. To management: your staff is communicating that the policy printed on your receipt is meaningless. I strongly suggest reviewing security footage from Jan 11 around 7:55 PM and coaching the team on professional return handling and de-escalation.
