  If I could give this place zero stars I would. I will never use this car company again and won’t recommend it to anyone. The woman working at the desk was dismissive, rude and abusive and lacked any customer service. It’s unsafe that you employ people like her who are clearly going through something. We saw her berating the couple in front of us and she did the same to my friend and I all for asking a simple question about switching to a different car type. The customers in the line heard her yelling and you could tell it was making everyone uncomfortable.

  Worst experience ever at the National rental car counter Santa Barbara airport . Nasty front desk lady who must have been having a bad day lashed out at me in front of my two small children and wife all because I was asking for her to add an additional car seat. I’ve never been treated so poorly at a rental car company before. She even swore at me. I wish I had gotten her name so that I could report her to your executive office. She was the woman on the right side of the desk at around 1:30pm today. I canceled my reservation and used a different car rental company next to them. What an embarrassment for the company that you have such an unprofessional employee working for you. I felt violated and discriminated against by this woman. I travel worldwide for work and I will never use National ever again.

  Just arrived to the Santa Barbara airport to switch out vehicles due to unsafe breaks on our current rental. We had 7 passengers and still had a 14 hour drive back home. Prior to arriving at the airport we contacted enterprise who national is partnered with to verify they would have a vehicle available at this location. Once we arrived we explained the situation to Gary who was the customer service rep who “helped” us. He was very rude and dismissed our concerns and basically told us to go to a jiffy lube and fix it ourselves then charge the rental company. Jiffy lube was already closed at this time. He also never looked up our reservation or tried to find a resolution. Would not recommend going through national and would give them 0 stars if I could.
