- ARAndrew Robinson5 days ago1.0WARNING: Do not use this Jiffy Lube location until you read this. After a routine oil change and tire rotation, the attendant informed me that I needed a new head gasket and serpentine belt, which have added considerable expense to my bill. I told them to hold off while I got another opinion. I took it to Oren's Automotive for a complete inspection. Their report showed no issues with the serpentine belt or head gasket. Two options explain Jiffy Lube's recommendation: 1. They don't know how to properly diagnose mechanical issues 2. They knew I didn't need a serpentine belt or head gasket but tried to charge me anyway Both are possible, but neither are forgivable. I'm guessing I wasn't the first customer they tried to fool, and probably won't be the last, but hopefully this review will encourage people to get their oil changed elsewhere.
