  The way I do errands is combine all of them together because obviously it saves gas and I think wear&tear should be taken seriously. As for Valvoline, my former neighbor, an auto mechanic, swears by the Valvoline brand oil. The most legit reason I came to this area was to get a fresh loaf at Bordenave’s .. and an excuse to go to Pink Owl Coffee! So, I went here (instead of the usual smoothly reliable Oil Changers place by Vintage Oaks in Novato) for my oil change. Reading the swarm of recent negative reviews at home after the errandathon, I had to look at my car out of nervousness - it looks fine to ME! I remember a brown-oil experience that brought me to the Novato branch resulting in the guys trying to sell me a list of services that totaled almost what I paid for my car. Now, I cut to the chase about this San Rafael branch. The group was excited to see me arrive like that army of workers jumping right to the truck that pulled into the gas station when Marty first comes downtown in 1955 in “Back to the Future.” “My crew” all communicated very well with the “salesman” together. They did a smooth job of changing a bulb on my central brake light that I never knew I had. The salesman was not aggressive at all as opposed to my Novato story. As for my own take, I can confidently declare that I am ready to drive my 20+ year-old car to Santa Rosa. It has good clean trusty-branded oil plus “an extra brake light” to aid me with that freeway full of Fast&Furious video game drivers. But, as opposed to my usual Oil Changers, they are seriously overpriced - I am glad I stuck to my plan to get my tires rotated at Cain’s (price). The thing about this location that really sucks is that it is difficult to get back onto 3rd Street because the exit driveway is block by red light waiters during a red light or a “Frogger” turn when the light is green. And, getting into town is very difficult due to the relentless right lane traffic.

  I was greeted with a kindness. The staff otherwise were VERY friendly. I was in/out in a reasonable amount of time. I am hopeful for continued relationship with this location and hopefully granted frequent discount coupons to help offset the rising expense of life. Thank you for what you do. Luke

  I recently had a horrible experience with this location. Been going to this place for years. Walked out my door this morning to a mess in the driveway. Clearly didn’t install the drain plug properly. Drained all 5 quarts onto my driveway. I filed a claim with the company but haven't heard anything back. Spent my own time and money at Home Depot to clean up the oil. They did send a crew out the next day to replace the plug and oil as the truck was not drivable but missed two days or work.

  They damaged my car and won’t take responsibility or answer my calls. I got an oil change here 8 days ago. I asked for an incident report and have called corporate and the location ~20 times and I have not heard back. They damaged my car. They forgot to attach my skid plate so when I started driving home, I had to pull over on the freeway cause my car was shaking. I called corporate and they told me to go back to the location to file an incident report. I went back despite feeling unsafe driving. Isaiah, the manager refused to write an incident report. He just reattached the undercarriage and told me he would call back. Corporate has not helped me. He didn’t refund me cause “I can’t hand out refunds” And my undercarriage is broken and I haven’t heard back on how they will help me fix it. Been going here for years, never again.
