- CSChristian StewartNov 24, 20254.0As others have mentioned, Dave is kind of a jerk. But, he had me in and out in under 15 minutes while all the other shops were backed up with hour long waits. So, to make sure you have an equally 4 star experience, here are some tips: Show him the coupon when you arrive. it's on their website. $45 total compared to $80 without. Make sure your car is ready to be smogged. if your check engine light is on, you need to get that fixed first. If you just changed your battery, your car likely reset its systems and you need to go drive it for 50-100 miles. If your car isn't ready to be smogged given any of the above, you will still get charged. You can get a cheap obd scanner that plugs into your car to see if your car is ready to be smogged, but assuming its in good running order, no check engine light, and no major work done recently you should be fine.
