  Excellent job. I place my tires here and all the customers got free rotations. My tires got screw on it a they fix do free. Good job.

  Dan, the man, the Viet Hero! Here to get all 4 tires replaced in a rainy day. He got things done in 3 hours. Best experience ever my bro!!

  I had a nail in my front tire and needed a replacement. The staff was very patient and explained different tire options clearly. They also checked the whole car and gave helpful advice on future maintenance. I especially appreciated the reminder about the manufacturer rebate. Great service overall—very satisfied!

  3/2/26, I was grateful to Ismeal on the phone confirming a 4pm time for the nailed tire on my EV EQE can be looked at patched free if repairable because I bought the tires there, though he was not the manager I've always worked with. I've enjoyed the fair work and price-matching on tires doing business at Skip's Silver Creek San Jose, CA location for more than 10 years through my 4 different cars plus family's and friends' cars I've also brought there. When I arrived I was surprised with a young new manager Mr. Dan Nguyen. He told me I needed to return the next morning because his work queue was full for the rest of the day (I was asking myself then what is the point of making my 4pm appointment). He apologized, and I let it go by inviting him to look at the tire to be sure it's repairable. Dan courteously looked at the tire and told me that it needed to be replaced under the bought road hazard coverage, not repairable but that I would have to purchase the 2nd tire because it was low on tread. I unconsciously trusted Dan because he looks like me. This is where it gets disappointing. Dan quoted 1 tire at $571 + alignment etc. and collected $200 deposit for the tire and told me it would be delivered in 2 days. The next day Dan called me and said the tire was available early so I can bring the car in same day. That same day, I looked up my previous work purchasing 4 tires at this location at ~$500 each, but a nearby America's tire location has available Bridgestone Turanza LS100 255/45R19 104H XL RF for $342/ea.--I printed these to bring to Dan for the usual fair price match as with previous times. Without looking at them, Dan said no because "matching like that is why the previous manager lost his job". That was bizarre to hear. I felt trapped by the $200 deposit Dan collected with the changing of service day twice and just wanted the tires to be done without wasting more in-out or wait time. While I waited for the 2 tires to be swapped and aligned, I called up the Skip's Cottle Rd., San Jose location, and was able to verify America's tire $342.00/ea price with Jay there--who was able to confirm with his manager that the best they can do was a $150/ea discount from Skip's quote of $571/ea. Dan told Ismeal to collect my payment and paperwork when the tires were done. I thanked Ismeal & let him know about America's tires at $342/ea and the $150/ea discount from Jay at Cottle Rd Skip's. He apologized and said he would help me out at the next oil-change service, so I don't have to wait until the next time I need to buy new tires. We exchanged laughs because my car is an EV EQE. And that will be the last time I would work with Dan at this Skip's location that I've done business with for almost 15 years. I'm weighing whether to put this review on Yelp too pending communicating this situation to management at Skip's Silver Creek Rd., San Jose.
