    This was the easiest car rental experience I have ever had. There was no wait,which may have been my luck, but the check-in at the kiosk with pre-check-in down online previously made the actual process take less than 5 minutes. Staff was friendly. Vehicle was ready and as expected.

    Sixt sux! Warning! Do not rent car from sixt! VERY Shady deceptive customer representatives working at San Jose del Cabo airport. I paid fully my car online which included an insurance, but counter rep would not let me take care until I purchased additional insurance from him or authorize my card to put 6000$ deposit. I did not want to purchase additional coverage so I had rep put deposit hold on my card. He claimed it declined, but my card was good. I offered to use a different good card but rep said I could not. So I was forced to buy more coverage from him in order to leave. There was 2 other groups at same time of my arrival who were also upset because the same reps were taking advantage of them too in different ways. One of the groups told me that they purchased their rental online, but was told car was not available and were forcing then to pay for an expensive car. I will never use sixt again and i Warn all not to, especially in cabo.

    Repeat customer, usually very satisfied, at least 3 times renting before, but today when we went to pick up the car, the "manager" denied our prepaid reservation since it was off a debit card, which we had done the previous 3-4 rentals just this past year. They require a credit card, "especially our German cars". Our previous rentals from here with our debit card were the BMW X3 and X5. So I start looking in my cell for my Discover account, "manager" says, oh it needs to be a physical card. Ok, so no flexibility for a repeat customer. We lost a rental today, but Sixt, they lose a repeat customer forever. And visiting friends, family, and businesses, when they ask for a local car rental recommendation, it will be any company other than Sixt.

    Their system clearly has a huge issue. The first time renting from them they let me wait on the lobby saying there’s some issue with my booking, they weren’t be able to match my name with my reservation number even though I showed them my confirmation email. However, they did let me pick up the vehicle and said their system mixed up my name with another person who shared the same birthday with me? The second time is way worse. I went to the front desk and tried to pick up the vehicle but somehow they were telling me that their system has blocked me out and I need to call their customer service to clear it out. I’m literally stand right in front of the front desk and they told me to call others to figure it out. I have no idea what are the people at the front desk for. BAD EXPERIENCE WITH SIXT. They have no clue what they suppose to do.
