  Warning!!! Do not rent from this company. Recently rented from them the experience was ok but upon return they tried to say we caused a small scratch on the bumper that we indicated was there when we picked up the car. We had told them it was already there and they said ok. Then we received a bill for $700 for the damage a tiny scratch less than a quarter of an inch. The quote for repair was from a repair company in Georgia but the car was in San Francisco. It’s a complete fraud!!!! They also give you no number to call to dispute the bill they only ask for payment. I have attached a picture of the scratch that was on the car when we picked it up that they are claiming cost $700 to repair. This is a known scam by Sixt car rental as we found on a google search.

  I rented a car from Sixt at the airport and had a great experience. They upgraded my car at no extra cost, and when my plans changed, they helped me switch the drop-off location for free as well. All the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. As someone visiting from another country for the first time in the USA, I really appreciated how clearly they explained everything I needed to know about driving. The car was clean and ready for my road trip, which made everything even easier. Many thanks to the whole Sixt team at the airport. if I visit San Francisco again, I already know where I’ll rent a car!

  Overall good! Clean vehicle. rental and return staff are direct and attentive. Give 4 star as Sixt mobile app need to update the LAX return location, apparently in the app the return address is outdated (as of Apr25 2026). And when we arrive to the old address there is no flyer or signage or anything instructing us to a new location. Adds stress especially when we have an international flight to catch Staff and vehicle are great. Mobile app needs update

  The car rental via app was easy and streamlined. I loved being able to skip the line and go directly to the car. I also loved the service received from Ibrahem on returning the car. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. He helped resolve removing my phone from CarPlay and was also able to point out my final balance after the walk around. Overall SIXT has made my vacation car rental awesome.

  This was my first time renting at SFO. And my first time renting with Sixt. I have a lot of experience with renting vehicles. So I know what I don’t like lol. I loved how the decor of the pick up counter area. The reps looked neat and presentable. And they were very courteous. I didn’t feel like another number. Also, there was someone who actually got up out of there seat and made sure I was able to find my rental. Finally, the rental was not wet from just being washed or had hard/dried water spots all over the windows and side mirrors like I usually see from other companies. The car was clean inside out. So I DEFINITELY had a different experience with Sixt.
