- MPMickey PDec 31, 20251.0Do not rent from Sixt. This was an unacceptable experience from start to finish. The vehicle we received was dirty, stained, and heavily scratched. After returning the car, Sixt attempted to charge us $500 for a “large scratch” that already existed. When we requested photographic proof showing the alleged damage along with the license plate to verify it was our vehicle, Sixt admitted they did not have such evidence. We disputed the charge with our credit card company, and after a prolonged investigation, the charge was ultimately dismissed. Note: Sixt has faced numerous customer complaints and legal actions regarding disputed damage charges, including a major class-action settlement in 2025.
