  We had a terrible experience trying to return the car. We got to the Fairmont Hotel Garage and there was no attendee. After waitng 10 minutes, We walked over to the Sixt rental desk and the man at the desk told us to go back to the garage and wait for the attendee, that he was just a block away. We went back and waited for 20 minutes. Another car pulled up and he also wanted to return his rental. We told him that we had been waiting to return the car for over 20 minutes. He walked over to the Sixt rental desk and immediately returned with the original man behind the counter who immediately checked in his car. The rental agent told us to wait for the attendee who was "right behind him." The second gentlemen returned his car and left while we were forced to wait another 10 minutes. We're Asian. The second gentleman renter was Caucasian. Our rental car was the same model BMW SUV. We were very disappointed by the experience.

  Great experience overall. The gentleman Melvin who checked me in was amazing, he was very professional, helpful, and made the process smooth from the start. Herman and Jose were also fantastic during my rental exchange. They were efficient, friendly, and made everything easy and stress-free. Really appreciate the great customer service from this team!

  They are running a repair scam out of this location. We documented no damage upon vehicle return, and yet we were sent a $1,100 bill for a 2” scratch that we did not cause. Avoid!

  Rented a car from the Fairmont Sixt for an excursion to Healdsburg last year. We drove the car round trip from the Fairmont to Healdsburg for a day trip. When we returned the car later that day, no one was available to inspect the car. We had stopped to fill up the car with gas. Sixt was closed. We were directed into the garage by 2 attendants. These 2 men said they would take care of everything. No photos or inspection was offered. A week later an email was received stating the car had rim damage! That was odd as we had not parallel parked or had any road hazards. This has continued to be an ongoing issue. We have not been offered any other restitution other than to pay $786. Needless to say we are very disappointed. In fact Reddit has reported this is an ongoing problem with Sixt. Many responses on Reddit state it is a scam! We must agree with Reddit.

  I’ve had an amazing experience renting from SIXT. Every time I needed to pick up a new rental, Jay took care of me with exceptional service. He’s always efficient, knowledgeable, and incredibly kind. The process is smooth every single time, and Jay truly goes above and beyond. Highly recommend SIXT — and definitely ask for Jay!
