  Professional and yet fun experience upon pickup and San Diego airport. I was offered a broad choice of clearly impeccable cars and was very satisfied with the performance and cleanliness of my pick. Drop-off at John Wayne Airport was equally easy with courteous staff and much ease. A strong recommendation.

  Check-in was fast and easy. The employee that was working the counter was very friendly and helpful. I haven't traveled in awhile so the process was all new. I was an club memeber so I could have just walked up to get the car. Guess I need to get with the time. lol But coming back the process was super easy to drop off and get on the shuttle. The employee helped guide us to the area. All the cars were all pretty new with less then 500 miles on them and a good selection as well. Very clean car and the service all around was great!

  As usual, the service is top-notch. I love the attention to detail, the friendly greeting and smiles, and the professionalism with which the associates conduct themselves. When returning the car, Alex at the San Diego International Airport Car Rental Center helped me and was patient with my requests. Two thumbs up! I will definitely use National Car Rental again in my future travels. In fact, I will be renting a car from National on a business travel next week!

Every person I encounter has a positive, friendly, and helpful attitude that to me seems genuine and sincere.   Overall, the rental experience was not what I'm accustomed to from National. I arrived late due to a flight delay and was greeted by a long line at the counter. There were no directional signs to let you know you may head straight to a car in the Emerald Aisle. Finally, another staff member appeared to assist the sole person at the counter. After being directed to choose a car, I did so, only to discover the Android Auto app wasn't working. The attendant at the exit allowed me to switch cars and that didn't help. I was still unable to connect so that led to me having to hold my phone as I drove to look at the map! I even went to the store and bought a new cord to rule that out. Still no luck! After watching a few YouTube videos, I came to the conclusion that this location needs to update the software in their rental cars. This is a huge safety concern and potential liability for the company.
