  I have been a client of German Auto Center for several years now and am *finally* giving them an overdue review as I make a cross county move away from SD. These folks are honest!! I wouldn’t take my German car anywhere else in San Diego! I found them after the MB dealership was hooking and sinking me dry. My mom worked in Lexus car dealerships my entire life and kept telling me these dealerships were gouging me! She’d even ask to talk to the service guys sometimes about exactly what they were doing and she would say no way, we are not doing that. As a girl, look I’ll admit I don’t know the first thing about keeping up with my car, I just do what is recommended. However, I found the German Auto Center, and am gratedul I did! These guys and gals are always upfront and honest about what I do and do not need. I have always felt confident about giving them my money knowing they’ve done a thorough and stand up job. I’m about to drive my car 2,000+ miles and know it’s in tip top shape to do so. Thank you German Auto Center for all the years of work you’ve kept up on my GLC 300! You guys are the best!

  Excellent Service, Accountability, and Customer Care I’ve been bringing my cars to German Auto Center for years including my 1997 BMW, my Porsche, and my wife’s Mercedes-Benz and Bert has consistently taken great care of us. Most recently, I had a minor scratch issue that happened during service. Accidents happen. What matters is how a shop handles it and angry customers (me). Bert owned it immediately, coordinated the repair with a trusted paint specialist, and even covered my STAR smog test as a gesture of customer care. That level of accountability and follow-through is extremely rare in this industry. The exterior repair turned out excellent you’d never know anything happened and the communication throughout was solid. If you’re looking for a shop that knows German cars inside and out and stands behind their work, I highly recommend German Auto Center on Rosecrans. Trustworthy, knowledgeable, and committed to making things right. I live all the way up in Escondido and that’s why I keep coming back. — Chad C.

  I drive up and down the coast and my Benz takes a beating, that being said I can CONFIDENTLY say that this is one of if not thee best places to bring your German car for repair, maintenance, and expert level diagnosis. Their reviews are just the tip of the iceberg. Burt and team always go above and beyond when I bring my car in, whether it’s an accommodation, a top up or preventative maintenance they are sincere, hardworking and extremely diligent. I’ve taken my Benz in for work to the MB dealerships, and highly rated auto shops from SD to Sacramento and there’s no comparison. They’re are VERY reasonably priced, and more knowledgeable than some of the MB dealerships. If you’re looking for your local “Spot” for your German car, stop, this is it, I promise you!

  I honestly can’t even put into words how great this place is. Recently, thinking that my car was no longer under warranty, I brought it here The shop owner then called me and told me that my car was actually still under warranty, and he advised me to go to the BMW dealer instead. When I went there, the bill they gave me was $22,000—and I was able to get all the problems fixed under warranty. I want to thank the shop owner again, as well as the employees. The level of care and attention here is outstanding, but most importantly, there is trust in this shop. That’s something we unfortunately don’t see in many places nowadays. This shop truly showed me that we can still trust people. Once again, thank you so much for everything. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
