    I have to say, at the current moment being a second generation Genesis G80 owner is beautiful and cruel, that's just the way it is. With very few service centers around the San Diego area it makes getting service, right now, inconvenient. I drove down to San Diego Genesis because it's the closest one and I live in Carlsbad. That's a 45 minute drive on a good day. I had been receiving alerts on my screen for an oil change and service for about or over 80 days. Jarring every time I started the car. It felt like a nuclear countdown. So finally I got an appointment to get it taken care of... - tbc.

    Do Not TRUST GENESIS WARRANTIES ! We paid $95K for a new Genesis (owned by Hyundai). The ENGINE FAILED at 1195 miles Genesis stated it was a Manufacturing DEFECT They promised us a prompt reimbursement. SIX-MONTHS LATER : At a LOSS >$10K we were reimbursed Genesis(owned by Hyundai and related to Kia) is THE MOST UNETHICAL COMPANY I have experienced in my 68-yr lifetime.

    Love my new GV70! The new ownership and management are amazing. This is my second Genesis, and the experience keeps getting better. Great new facility and even better people. I’ll be bringing my sister here for her next car.

    It's unfortunate that the Genesis of Kearney Mesa had a change of location and ownership. I've had nothing but trouble with this location since they've opened. I brought my 2021 Genesis G80 there over a month ago because my AC stopped working and my check engine light came on. No one ever followed up with me about the repairs and they kept my car the entire day (car was dropped off at opening). I had to call them the next day just to get an update only to find that they couldn't explain what was wrong with the AC and nothing had been done but a track & trace (they stated there may be a leak somewhere). In regards to the check engine light, they stated that a sensor needed to be replaced but they would have to order the part. That was about a month ago. Since then I've been calling everyday to see if they've received the part but no one answers or calls back even though I've left multiple messages along with my information. I waited till open today to call and someone finally answered. When I inquired about the part, he asked if I brought it to that location like I've never been there. He then finds my information and proceeds to put me on hold for about 15 minutes. It was evident that he didn't intend on ever answering the phone again because when I called back later, I got no response. It's sad that this is the only Genesis dealer in San Diego & that I might have to drive to LA just for service.
