You may book but never get a car. We had booked an SUV for a multi-state road trip via expedia 4 months early just to be called by the Entreprise branch 30min before the rental time (and hotel checkout with 5 suitcases and 2 kids) and be told that Enterprise had no car whatsoever and that we were number 8 on a car waiting list. Going in person at the front desk led to “I inly manage the local San Diego branches, you can always call yourself another city), calling Enterprise resulted in “no cars in all of California”. Contacted Expedia via chat and they said they tried multiple times to contact the branch and they never answered. We ended up getting a last minute car at the local Sixt branch for 4x the original price we had planned, steep yet that saved our family vacation and subsequent hotel bookings.

Nightmarish experience with this rental location. Avoid at all costs. I've rented from the location at SAN several times over the years and never had an issue. This was my first time attempting to pick up a car at the Hyatt location. Yvette the employee at the desk was rude and unprofessional from the first minute of our interaction. We arrived at 10 am to pick up our reserved vehicle. Yvette said that they did not have our car available. She seemed disinterested and took 0 initiative to solve any problems. She said she'd been dealing with this issue for "over a week" and didnt know "what anyone expected her to do" This was all part of an overall vibe another renter in line accurately described as her petulant teenager attitude. Yvette even refused to write down her name because she said Enterprise didnt provide her with business cards, pens or paper. After 7 hrs of trying to track down a vehicle at multiple locations myself, I finally spoke with Yvette at the desk again. She waffled between excuses stating there were no cars all day and also saying she just decided not to contact me about my rental because she had heard that I complained about her attitude. I explained that was unacceptable behavior on her part and she could not disregard my reservation because she was unhappy I had complained about her service. She then threatened to call hotel security because she "felt threatened". No one ever raised their voice with her, insulted her or used any rude or profane language at any point. Yvette is unprofessional, rude, delusional and the sort of person that maliciously weaponizes phrases like "feels threatened" to get her way. Not only do false claims such as these obviously undermine any sort of customer experience, they also cheapen legitimate instances where security can and should be involved due to inappropriate behavior. Luckily hotel security and the management realized what she was doing and acted appropriately. Do yourself a favor and rent from the airport or anywhere else and stay away from unstable Yvette.

Amazing pickup experience and very friendly staff. My only concern is that I wasn’t able to reach this location by phone, I tried calling multiple times and couldn’t connect with anyone at the front desk during work hours.

They are short staffed and it shows in the quality of service. The rental car originally booked was not available for that time. When we arrived, we were told that after a wait we would be given the original car. A the employee let us know that it would be even longer, ultimately settling us on a different kind of vehicle. I returned the car within the two days I originally paid for. They charged me for an extra day mistakenly as their agent was missing from the desk when I placed the keys in the drop off bin, and didn’t check until over two hours later. I called multiple times and was put on hold and eventually disconnected.
