As always, Enterprise Rent-A-Car is number 1!!! Their prices, staff, vehicles, value is the BEST you will ever find. Stay away from those SCAM Car Rental sites like FOX who make you pay in full up front with a Debit Card, then refuse to let you have your rental UNLESS you have a CREDIT CARD...
But Enterprise Rent-A-Car takes Debit Cards 100% PLUS you only pay when you return the car - and 100% of the time, when you return it, the price of the rental is either exactly what they said OR LESS then what they said - never more!
Enterprise is Trustworthy, Reliable, Customer Friendly and the BEST CARS I have ever rented in my life! Now and Always, it will be Enterprise Rent-A-Car for me!!!
Thank you, Enterprise!

This is my second bad experience with National, and unfortunately it has completely broken my trust in the brand.
The first time was in Chicago, and now again in San Diego. I had a confirmed reservation to pick up a car in San Diego and return it in San Francisco. My flight was already delayed, and when I finally arrived at the counter, I was simply told there were no cars available. That was it.
No explanation.
No alternative solution.
No call, no prior notification, and no follow-up.
For a company of National’s size, this level of customer service is unacceptable. If you cannot honor reservations, customers should be informed in advance—especially travelers dealing with flight delays and tight schedules.
A confirmed booking should mean something. Sadly, based on my repeated experiences, I cannot rely on National anymore and would not recommend them to others.

zero stars! I am disgusted and immensely disappointed in Enterprise’s formerly great customer service. I booked a trip to Maine to Maui with my wife and son’s family and arrived on December 23rd expecting to pick up a rental car that I had reserved on October 29th 2025. Upon arrival at the rental desk, I was informed that there were no cars available! The staff had no solutions and informed us that they were closing in 20 minutes and we were on our own. They did offer to pay for an Uber ride to our destination while they tried to find a car for us. Our destination is 40 minutes from the Enterprise location, they are open until noon on Christmas eve and then not until Friday, the day after Christmas.
Rather than helping to find a solution, the staff escalated the problem and made the start of what should be a great vacation a source of stress and anxiety. I have been a loyal customer of Enterprise for over 30 years and am appalled at the lack of customer care. They have violated the trust that I formerly had for this company. I don’t know what happened to Enterprise and can only conclude that their focus is not on their customers anymore.
Caveat Emptor, Buyer Beware!

P.S. I would love to hear a response from anyone at Enterprise to answer, explain. The complaint department was courteous but I they did not give me any confidence that they actually heard my issue or that anyone would respond.

My original rental agreement for my trip to San Diego after using 800 points for 1 free day for a 3 day trip to pick up my 92yr old mother that had been hospitalized and fly her back home was going to cost $68.39. After I arrived at SAN airport it took 45mins for me to take a bus to the Enterprise rental car facility 2 miles away I had Checked in and prepaid ahead of time so when I got there, an agent said pick whatever car you want. I had a reservation for a premium car and chose a Basic Kia Sportage it had no features like a key fob I had to plug the key into the ignition the rear liftgate had to be manually opened it was a basic entry level Sportage. Immediately while driving out of the airport, the tire pressure alert went off one tire had the PSA of 41 the right tire was 29. The back left tire was 37 and the back right tire was 35. The girl that checked me and said, would you like to have us fill up the fuel in the car when you return it? It’s much cheaper than the gas stations. I said OK because the cost of gas in San Diego is 5 to 6 dollars. I agreed. I ended up having to extend my rental for one day because my mom didn’t get out of the hospital and then the next day our flight was 6:15 AM at 4:30 AM when I got to the airport dropped off my mom got her a wheelchair and then headed to return the Rent-A-Car at enterprise I pulled up and the employee that was checking me in first told me that the cost was $365 when I questioned him about that and told him that my original cost was quoted at $68.39. They charged me another $20 for deposit, which of course should’ve been refundable. I’m expecting with the extra day that they charged me $53 for was going to be around $120. The gentleman seemed very nice and when I told him about the condition of the tire pressure, he said don’t worry about it. We’re not gonna charge you for the gas and will send you an invoice reflecting discounts for the problems you ran into. So I received the invoice they charge me $239.43. They charge me a car class upgrade which was $32.97 and after only driving 93 miles they charge me a fuel service option charge for $63.85. I’ve been renting cars from enterprise for many years and this is one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I’m not sure if I will be using Enterprise anymore

We travelled cross country with two little ones and what felt like 100 different items from luggage to car seats and strollers. The shuttle was easy enough and when we arrived the check in process was quick. We went upstairs to the garage and were greeted by a very sweet worker named Bree (remember that name because she’s my new favorite character in this journey). She immediately offered to help with our luggage and showed us our options as well as offering to show us bigger cars if we felt we needed the space. We went with a newer Bronco and got all set up. We drove off and the process couldn’t have been easier.
While driving about one hour and inland where it was winding roads we realized maybe it wasn’t the best fit car for us- our car seats weren’t as secure and it felt too bulky to drive safely as a shorter person. Enterprise was nice enough to offer us a switch the next day since we were going to be back in that area for the zoo. On our drive back to the down we heard a very loud pop while on the 5 freeway and saw our passenger window was crackled. We were scared and confused and as we pulled over the glass started to shatter on me and thankfully none of it flew back to my kids. We called corporate emergency number and they told us to go to the nearest location which we did since we were still 30 minutes from our airport location. Upon further investigation it seemed to be vandalism with a bb pellet sized hole that caused the shattering. The nearest location was not as pleasant and asked us if we could drive the car to the airport… with the shattered glass falling on us. When I explained how that was unsafe and corporate sent us here they swapped our cars. They gave us a very dirty car that had check engine and tire pressure lights on. Our car seats also couldn’t install well.
So we drove that car back to the airport to speak to our original Enterprise dream team. When we arrived we asked for management so we could explain the story. The people at rental return were immediately understanding and directed us to the right people. We met back up with Bree and she was understanding, empathetic and accommodating. It truly turned the experience around for us. When there wasn’t a car that fit our needs she upgraded us and found one that we were comfortable in and most importantly allowed us to install our car seats safely. The remainder of the week was uneventful in the best way. We were comfortable and safe and that’s all I can ask for from a company. Thank you to all of the employees that made us feel heard and checked in after the situation especially Bree, Rio, Riley, and Alexis.
